As 2015 is steadily approaching, one of the smartest things we can do for ourselves is
to be preemptive in setting up our budgets and financial plans for 2015.
The holidays are undoubtedly the most financially stressful time of the year however

Set Flexible & Realistic Goals
Learning more about Capital One 360 inspired me to begin planning for 2015,
shorter term with trips I would like to take and items I wish to acquire.
It is important to not forget about our long-term goals; owning our own business to home
ownership. Now is the time for us to plan each move to set ourselves up for success.

Forecast your Financial Future
One step I took was to create a freelance forecasting spreadsheet to organize upcoming
projects categorized by client, assignment details and expected completion date.
Something as straightforward as creating this type of plan allows us to visualize
our workload while forecasting potential additional income.

Maintain your Entrepreneurial Spirit
Millennials are the most entrepreneurial generation this world has ever seen.
We all have side businesses and sky-high aspirations.
Capital One 360 aligns itself well with those ever-changing aspirations and associated needs. For example; their remote deposit capture CheckMate tool makes depositing your savings even easier.

Remember What Is Important
Doing this planning now will ensure you survive the holiday season
on track with your financial goals or even well ahead.
For me, financial peace of mind is having a hefty savings to fall back on and the ability to make larger purchases (including travel) without hesitation. Indulging loved ones in a manner i was not once able to do.

Be Creative & Exceed The Norm
One additional supplement to my plan; I utilize a time tracker when doing any paid work. Post creation, copywriting, image research. I track all of it in their appropriate categories using an online software.
At the end of the week I am able to view how much time was spent on which projects in
relation to its payment. Effectively allowing me to calculate my hourly billing rate.
Here is to starting early down that path of financial peace of mind in 2015.
What does financial peace of mind mean to you?
