While this post was created in partnership with Verizon, the following apps are truly ones I use and love
We’re all busy cramming way too much into our days, overtired, too connected, with not nearly enough hours in the day.
It’s a daily struggle for me to achieve the delicate work, life, health balance but of course technology has been my saving grace.
Below are my favorite apps that keep me conscious, motivated, and on a healthier path:
Though I’m a runner, it’s important to take days off while maintaining a somewhat consistent regimen.
Nothing clears my mind like yoga though my schedule (and budget) may not always allow for the frequency of practice I prefer.
Pocket Yoga allows you to track your practice while providing detailed voice and video instructions for an endless number of poses with tips for proper execution.
With three levels of difficulty and three varying practices, there’s something for everyone (at 3 different durations!)
Since I’m now an android gal, Google Fit syncs with both my Google watch, and Pixel phone.
While it tracks my daily steps, it also records my speed, pace, and even elevation if I wish. Allowing me to set goals to maintain while syncing with all of my other apps and devices.
Let’s face it, when I’m working out I need all the help I can get. Half the battle is just dragging myself to the gym, so I lay out my clothes, work outfit and bag the night before to help me find my way.
Half a cup of coffee in I’m either on the train or in an UberPool headed downtown with an upbeat playlist to inspire me (or just wake me up!)
I love Spotify’s versatility in helping you create a playlist for everything, but also providing tempo’d playlists depending on the speed you’re working out at.
