I am beyond ecstatic that the weekend is here! Not only am I physically exhausted, I have personal projects that have been piling up this week that I am itching to jump into.
One thing I was just reflecting on is how fortunate I am to work in a office full of such good people. I literally love the people I work with (mainly engineers but also Accounting and HR professionals).
Anytime I walk by one of their desks or them by mine, a small quip or personal question posed between the two of us brings a smile to my face.
How lucky am I?
With that said, I have big plans for this weekend that far surpass just spending lots of QT with my pillow (though I would love that).
Between a ridiculous amount of photography (I’m talking hundreds of photos) and tons of organzing/laundry/cleaning I’ve realized I have a consistent recipe for a well-spent weekend.
1. One part cleaning and organizing (mixed with a bit of delicious fresh laundry).
2. One part creativity – whether that be a combination of photography, writing, dance, art or more.
3. One important slice of indulgence, usually in the form of a spa treatment or even just a standard blowout.
4. One essential part consisting of fantastic food (usually limited to one dish during one meal) because well, food makes me happy. As long as I have something yummy once in a while I find it easier to stick with a healthy plan every other day.
5. One new aspect – this can be visiting a new locale, reading a new book, discovering a new musician or biking through a new neighborhood – life is about new experiences. The day I am satisfied with the status quo is a sad one indeed.
A Few Friday Fragments:
-
How fun are these departure scents by GΓ©rald Ghislain? I think I’d try Vienna first.
-
Kind of like Birchbox for your pooch? Check out BarkBox!
-
Love the fresh use of various materials by Olivia & Joy – gorgeous clutches.
-
I plan to read this quite soon – inspiration maybe? I’ve always enjoyed Orwell.
-
Don’t you wish these were in existence when you were a tyke?
What are some key elements to your perfect weekend?
