Summer is many’s favorite season, full of shortened weeks,
warm weather and weekends away.
A conundrum many of us face however is what to wear during these unbearably hot months
that keeps us looking polished, cool during the ride on the subway and warm within
the cool confines of the office where the AC is most likely on full blast.

Maintain your layers.
Fitted sleeveless dresses ensure you remain breezy during your commute and a
structured blazer will provide both warmth and professionalism when you get to the office.

Don’t be afraid to take a jump.
Thanks to innovative designers everywhere, we have a multitude of refined jumpsuits to add
to our work wardrobes though avoid strapless or over-the-top prints and embellishments.

Max out your closets reach.
Depending on your office’s dress code, styling a maxi modestly is another way to incorporate
some of your seasonal pieces. Always think modestly, layering a beautiful tee under a
sleeveless dress or adding a belt for structure.

Avoid skirting the issue.
Skirts can such versatile separates, paired with silk tanks and cardigans,
cleverly constructed from dresses or paired with a cropped jacket.

Don’t be afraid to keep things short.
Again, all relative to what you can get away with in the office, but there are shorts of every fabric,
length and print available to us that are very much office appropriate.
