Though this post was created in partnership with Verizon, the following opinions (and photos) are mine alone.
I have been a loyal Apple girl for… let’s just say for far too long.
When I got my first iPhone I was so excited for the features, intuitive design and camera quality. As I upgraded to version after version, the quality did not seem to increase, only the price.
Then Verizon sent me the Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge and quite a few things changed.
My Phone Photography Game
Has seriously improved due to the amazing camera and advanced settings that allow you the control to do things like hyper focusing on close objects (or just the opposite if you choose!)
Even especially in low light!
Long gone are grainy Snapchat photos and my daily on the fly photos have near DSLR quality.
Its Intuitive Everyday Apps
Small changes overtime make a significant difference. One of the small differences
When I set my alarm in the evening on my Edge, it tells me: “Your alarm will sound exactly 7 hours and 12 minutes from now.” Giving me an automatic visual of how many hours I’m getting that night so I can make any last minute adjustments if necessary.
There’s also no holding 7 buttons down for 10 minutes to restart you device. One button enables you to shut down, restart or go into emergency mode. Quick and convenient, how I like my technology.
The Super Human Speed Charging
The Edge comes with a “fast charger” that also tells you exactly how many minutes it will take to reach 100% battery. A necessity when timing your departure before an event or night out.
The Network Oh My Verizon Network
You know the saying, you never knew what you had until it’s gone? I never knew how bad I had it until Verizon got me out of dark zones and into the reception-filled light.
Gone are dropped calls and scratchy interludes during important conversations (okay maybe most of the time we are chatting about what we are going to be eating.)
The Increased Privacy
I’m a stickler for my notifications (the important ones, mainly those associated with my finances.) With my iPhone I received requested notifications but sensitive information (i.e. my gross expenditures) would also flash across my screen.
Do not want.
My Edge provides me only a notification regarding which app has been updated, not any of the associated information. A major upgrade in my book.
I’m excited to find out more ways I have been upgraded (and stumbled upon them every week it seems) but I would love to thank the Verizon team for such a wonderful opportunity and of course, an unparalleled network.
Which of the above features is most of interest to you and what network currently powers you?
