While most people like to visit their dentist for teeth whitening procedures, there are a few at-home alternatives you could try.
Maybe you’ve just realized you have stains or yellow marks before a big meeting (just getting around to that napkin test?)
Perhaps you have a date tonight, and you’re wishing what you saw when you smiled were just a tad bit brighter?
Either way, the infographic above and tips below may help you to turn things around.
Keep in mind these tips are only a quick fix, and always consult a dental professional before taking drastic measures.
Try some whitening strips
Whitening strips for your teeth are available from most pharmacies and beauty supply shops. They are not expensive to purchase, and you can apply them to your freshly cleaned chompers in seconds.
Most people see best results with routine use!
Swipe on some red lipstick
Adding some color to your pout can help to make your teeth appear whiter. With that in mind, consider using your brightest red lipstick for the best results (the one with blue undertones!)
It contributes towards drawing attention away from any imperfections in your smile.
Use hydrogen peroxide
Peroxide is already used in the production of whitening strips. As we all know, we can also purchase it in a more concentrated bottle form.
If you’re going to use the solution, make sure you don’t swallow any of the liquid. You could apply it to your teeth using qtips for the best outcomes.
Remember if you have preexisting dental conditions, consult your dental professional for guidance on what product(s) to use and what strength is best suited for you specifically.
I use gentle whitestrips to prevent sensitivity but everyone is different.
What are some ways you accentuate your smile before a big event?

May 12, 2016It is really cool that there are so many different ways to get white teeth fast. I like that you pointed out that whitening strips might be a good option if you have a short timeline. However, it seems like that wouldn’t last long. If you have the time it might be a good idea to get your teeth professionally whitened by your dentist. That way it will hopefully last longer.
