Maybe you’ve decided to throw a last minute party, or you want as little stress as possible when getting it all together. Hopefully this post can help as it seems I create one around this time each year (right before my birthday!)
Party planning doesn’t have to be insanely stressful as long as you remember the reason behind your wanting to bring everyone together.. These quick and easy party ideas will hopefully inspire you:
Send Invites Online
As this is a last minute affair, you’re not going to have enough time to send your invites personally and wait for a reply. Send them online instead (I love Paperless Post as they have gorgeous options by Kate Spade and the like!)
I also love the idea of calling friends who you’d especially like to attend and ask them over the phone. You can find e-invites for everyone else if you like, or make an event on social media.
Tidy Up
If you’re having a dinner or housewarming party at yours, hiring someone to do a thorough clean the day of (or before) is a fantastic idea.
This takes the stress off of you and allows you to focus on the more fun elements and of course the beauty routines that must be completed.
It might be a good idea to remove anything breakable during this time too, just incase.
Use Lighting and Flowers to Decorate
Don’t spend a fortune on decorations for a last minute party. Just make the place look nice with some atmospheric lighting and flower arrangements. You could even get some fairy lights to add a little magic to the place.
Order Pizza
Feeding your guests is optional, but it’s a good idea if you want to be a good host. Buying food ready made will be more expensive, but it’ll be much less messy and stressful.
If it’s a fun girls night in, why not order pizza for everybody to share?
Keep the Drinks Simple
Keep the drinks as simple as you can, while making sure there’s something nice for everyone. You can’t usually go wrong with a wine, something like Jack Daniels, and beer.
The Jack Daniels price isn’t too hefty, but having several options is always a great idea (for your guests and for your budget!)
Ready Made Playlists
For your playlist, you want to be able to press play and then leave it to run. You don’t want to have to worry about what’s going to come on next! Have a look for playlists in advance, or use a radio station that you can personalize yourself for a constant stream of music. Making a playlist yourself is an option, but you don’t want to get stressed!
Have Games on Standby
You never know when the ‘game mood’ might strike at a party. You might all want to pull out Twister (lol) after a few drinks.
Have a few games on standby, just incase. They don’t have to be board games either. There are tons of game ideas online for house parties you can look at!
Make Sure You Get to Enjoy
It’s so important that you have fun at your party too. Try not to get stressed out; this is supposed to be a fun event!
Take a few deep breaths, get dressed up, grab yourself a drink, and enjoy yourself with your friends.
See? You don’t have to spend months planning to throw an amazing party. If the feeling takes you or there’s a reason for celebration, use these tips.
You and your friends will have a great time. See you again soon!
