As a freelance writer and compensated lifestyle blogger, I am inundated by communications from PR representatives daily. Let’s be honest, most are press releases.
When I started this blog it was merely to showcase my writing and potentially receive feedback.
A scary prospect at the time.
Slowly it morphed into a project and visual representation of my quest to live a life worth documenting. To note the exceptional moments of my chosen lifestyle.
There are brands I politely decline products from or even after having received a piece I realize I do not have anything positive to say about it. So what do I do?
I let them know my thoughts and suggest I either keep my thoughts private and forgo a post altogether or write one, though it may not be one the brand would like to go public.
Cory Vines is not one of those companies.
When I was provided the opportunity to learn more about the brand and receive a piece of their line during the Summer of 2013 (post here), I was pleasantly surprised by Cory Vines unpretentious attitude and the extremely high quality of their pieces.
So much so that I made sure to write Daniel Lieberman (CEO of Cory Vines) a quick thank you email and to let him know I would be following the progress of his company, something I have never done before.
A few months later I got an email from none other than Mr. Lieberman inviting me to preview the new Neighborhood Collection and select any piece I wished.
I cannot emphasize enough how much I love and believe in this brand.
If I could get away with wearing a racerback tank or boatneck everyday, I would.
Quality, versatile pieces at reasonable prices…
Cory Vines creates pieces for my lifestyle that exude style while providing immense comfort.

October 2, 2013Completely understandable, thankfully Cory Vines is incredibly conscious of this (take a look at their pricing) and the piece I received this Summer looks brand new despite me using it during my training quite often!

October 1, 2013that top looks like the most comfortable piece ever! and i appreciate your candor regarding products you feature and making sure they are a fit with your brand. i'm not a fan of blogs that will endorse anything just for the sake of receiving a freebie! so thanks for writing sponsored post that are not only informative, but do not read like an advertisement!
Georgina
October 2, 2013Chandra it truly IS!! I love that thang! I feel literature is and should always be for the reader. When it becomes solely about the writer, it's time to rethink xo

I appreciate that so much, especially as someone who likes to try new brands and products. P.S. I think Cory Vines should have you be their model for their next collection:)

October 2, 2013Love how this top looks on you, especially the color!
Is Cory Vines mostly for exercise gear? On your previous post about them, I think you mentioned something about it (can't really remember)… Love how comfy it looks!
I don't think I can think of ONE brand that fits my lifestyle. I usually pick things from here and there…
