How do you know when you have found the one?
The one to be your everything, who brings finality, your true love?
When one day they begin to finish your sentences…
{via} |
When they squeeze you tight and the whizzing array of emotions inside
it evokes is almost too much to bear, too good to be true.
{via} |
When the moment you realize your toes are cold,
they have already found them with their warm ones.
{via} |
When you sneakily peek at them with only one eye open
to find they are already doing the same.
What do you consider the signs of love?

February 2, 2014Well, I'm not in love so I don't know that I'm the right person to answer this … but, there's this song that I love and I think they have it right. "Hazy" by Rosi (something,, i forget her name lol) but basically the lyrics are something like
"if i fall and hurt myself, would you know how to fix me, if i went and lost myself, would you know where to find me, if i forgot who i am, would you please remind me"
So, I'm going to say that the signs are when you find someone that knows you, like REALLY knows you. Someone that's always there to clear things up, when things get a little hazy π

February 2, 2014I honestly have no freakin idea how one knows or feels when they found "the one". I've never even been close. Even my childs father whom I was all but devastated when he left I never felt was the one either. I was more heart broken over a loss of a dream , and the fact my kid would grow up in a "broken home" rather than being sad over "baby dad" specifically.
From other people who've talked to me though, people just "know" or else people just settle for various reasons.

February 4, 2014Emily you make an excellent point, a lot of people do just settle (for all types of reasons and I do not judge at all.)
I know you will find love Emily, you are such a wonderful woman xo

February 3, 2014Oh my gosh, the mixed tape! I remember calling in to a local radio station, dedicating Stevie B's "Dream About You" (wow, I just aged myself) to the boy I had a crush on, and waiting next to my boom box to record it! Ha!!
As far as Steve, I guess I just knew. I was SO comfortable, he put me at ease.

February 6, 2014this was such a beautiful post, georgina.
i think people are so quick to throw around the word "love" – "i loooooe your shoes" or "i loooooove that movie".
i've yet to have been in love-love but hope to one day find a love true like yours and M.
i think i'll know i've found true love when:
a) the man i meet fits all the requirements listed in 1 corinthians 13 annnnnnd
b) can sing barry white's "you're the first, my last, my everything" to me and actually mean it, haha.

February 13, 2014Thank you Vanessa and I agree many people do throw the word around far too carelessly. I love when M sings to me, it never fails to melt my heart. I know you will find true love xo
