This time of year makes me exorbitantly giddy.
The promise of delicate white flakes, pretty to watch, a sweet regression within to play.
Lights and decorations make their highly anticipated appearance.
Creating a glow where there was once darkness, color to the previously dull in appearance.
Our confections emerge in the shape of miniature trees or snowmen, spreading cheer, and calories.
For many of us, the holiday is no longer about the gifts we receive but instead showing those that are dear to us how much they are loved.

We don our hats, mittens and sweaters, lingering a little bit longer over our cocoa.
The fireplace becomes the central gathering place each evening.
People seem to make the extra attempt to be nicer.
What do you love most about the holiday season?

November 23, 2013What I love about ny is seeing everything lit up. I live close to Columbus Circle and it becomes a winter wonderland during x-mass time. But the best of all is being able to go home to see the family in my little tropical island.

November 24, 2013I love the lights. Even though Steve and I are only 25 minutes away from Philly, we live in a town that is more sheep, deer and horses, than people. A lot of the roads are windy and dark, so the holiday lights just brighten everything up!
