I decided to make a post regarding a few of my favorite beauty products. I work in the beauty industry with hair, skin and nail experts and am constantly making sure I absorb as much information as I can on how to take care of and improve the health and appearance of all three.
My true list in its entirety is endless, I only chose 5 to begin with, however if you would like a recommendation for a body part I did not list a product for (such as lip moisturizers, eye cream, sunscreen, styling tools, toners, nail products etc) please leave a comment with a specific request and I would happy to do so!
- I am always in search of the miracle product that is going to tame the frizz in my chemically straightened hair while keeping it moisturized without making it greasy in addition to smelling fantastic. I discovered Moroccan Oil when I had my hair blown out by one of Pini Swissa’s (celebrity hair stylist, exclusively styles Tom Brady as well as Gisele et al.) stylists.
- This truly is a MIRACLE PRODUCT. It does everything: works as a heat protectant, moisturizes and adds shine, makes hair incredibly soft, can also be used as a deep conditioning oil treatment, is used on wet or dry hair, smooths flyways, eliminates frizz, smells amazing, is alcohol free so it won’t dry out your hair like other styling products, protects against UV damage, alleviates split ends/breakage and can even be used when coloring hair! For you girls with curls, there is an exclusive line designed just for curls as well and I have friends that attest them to be life savers.
- Phytomer body milk: has a lightweight consistency, absorbs into the skin quite easily, will not make you feel greasy, and has a subtly clean fragrance. If you have any other questions regarding Phytomer products please ask, I have been trained in product knowledge in many of their lines and could provide great recommendations (I have also tried many of them myself and give you my personal experience!) Also, though the line originates in France, many higher-end day spas carry their products, including my favorite: Bella Sante who uses some of the Phytomer products in their facials and body treatments!
- Malie Kalai Sea Salt & Coconut Body Polish: perfect for your body any time of the year and the coconut oil in it ensures after you exfoliate you can skip the lotion step afterwards! Ingredients include: Hawaiian sea salts and Kauai clay with purified coconut oil.
- Next are two essential products I swear by for my face. I will never use another cleanser or facial exfoliant as long as I live!
Cosmedix Benefit Clean Facial Cleanser: is a gentle cleanser that is still strong enough to remove waterproof makeup, it will not dry out your skin (it has shea butter in it to ensure this), is free of sulfates, is safe for all skin types and you only need to use a very small amount mixed with water to create a fantastic lather. It is quite concentrated.
Cosmedix Pure Enzymes: This is an amazing natural cranberry exfoliant mask. After cleansing with Benefit Clean I apply an extremely thin layer before jumping into the shower. The steam activates it even more strongly and by the time I am done showering I rinse it off and apply a moisturizer. It is seriously like a mini facial. Your skin will be more even toned, glowing and over time you’ll see less pigmentation and break out less because it prevents clogging and has anti-bacterial protection! You will use less of your products (moisturizer) as after you use it you will notice how much easier everything goes on your skin, and less makeup as well! Have no worries about its harshness because it is gentle with moisturizers and antioxidants that give your face that dewy look after use. Stop destroying your skin with those gritty exfoliants you buy at CVS (I will not mention which ones but you know the ones I am referring to!)
