Blissdom was everything I could have dreamed and more.
(indoor gardens, waterfalls, palm trees, fountains, ponds and more)
Upon walking into our hotel, every person working at the Gaylord Opry gave us
nothing but the best service you could possibly imagine.
From my limited experience within the state, it seems everything truly is bigger.
You cannot tell by the picture but the jelly beans were the size of walnuts.
(Jon Acuff)
I became increasingly inspired after each speaker.
John Acuff, Susan Cain, Lisa Leonard, CC Chapman and more.
(Susan Cain)
Having been literally frozen in fear and self-doubt for months regarding my book,
it was a relief when Susan Cain told us it took her seven years to pen her first.
That book later went on to become a New York Times Bestseller.
We had some time to chat and I thanked her for sharing that bit with us as I was
having such a hard time with the process myself.
She listened intently and asked what my book was about. When I finished she
looked genuinely interested and asked me to let her know when it was completed. Whoa.
I cannot find this lovelies blog (I know it has Bobbins in the name)
but she was so incredibly friendly and her little baby, who is crying
in this photo, was beyond adorable!
Rollin with my new homies.. get it? π
I also ran into the actor that plays David on All My Children.
Myself and Sili
There was an artist doing caricatures and I just knew he would
give me a Jay-Z peanut head. Oh well, I didn’t mind too much.
Again and again I really put myself out there and I think that is truly
why I got so much out of Blissdom. Going in with a somewhat determined and
incredibly positive attitude – it made all the difference.
I went home with almost a dozen books, Jon Acuff actually gave us a copy
of his new book that isn’t even out yet.
I will be reading all of the books I was given or purchased, reviewing them
for you and I actually got a few extra copies for you guys!
I flew home at sunrise, so inspired I finally got down to business with my book.
It seems all of the motivational speaking, networking and seminars really
sparked my creativity. It was pretty life-changing.
Will I be seeing you at Blissdom next year?
