Noelle, myself, Amy, Julie & Lianna |
The Boston blogging community is unimaginably one of the loveliest, most accepting groups of women I have ever encountered. We gather frequently outside of product launches and fashion based events.
On Sunday we met at Sam’s on the seaport, a beautiful restaurant that uses local, quality ingredients to create some of the most delicious of dishes. Bonus, you can dine al fresco overlooking the water!
I enjoyed a light yet filling Big Pig in a Blanket (garlic sausage encased in a ricotta pancake with a buttery sriracha-maple syrup for dipping!) For dessert, because well why not, the Pavlova Isle Flotante – a meringue atop a chilled berry soup adorned with candied lemon chantilly.
If you are not yet enticed to dine at Sam’s then the fact that below the
restaurant is a gorgeous boutique (Louis) may just be what has you popping by.
I may have indulged in a little treat for myself…
After enjoying the weather on the wharf, I headed to Amy‘s gorgeous place in the
Back Bay to meet the kittens Ruby and Oliver that she is currently fostering.
with Oliver – who has found a permanent home thanks to Amy! |
I met Amy through the blogging community and she is passionate in her quest
to find homes for all of the sweet animals in need.
Also a board member on the Animal Rescue League of Boston, she spends much of
her time and own resources to make a difference in as many lives as she is able.
(a few moments after I snapped this photo that blanket slid down the couch with Oliver still on it) |
Though I was sad to leave them, the walk home was absolutely beautiful.
Would you consider yourself more of a dog or cat person?

June 3, 2014Looks like so much fun! The food looked/sounds delicious. Dominic and I are both allergic to cats, and Dom is allergic to dogs as well (pet dander?) Anyway, not really a pet person, but those kitties are adorable π
