The adorable Emily of Shell Chic’d tagged me in this Blogger Q&A and so…

1. Favorite flower?
A bit unconventional but Irises. My mother used to grow a patch right outside my bedroom window and as it turns out – they’re the flower of my birth month!

2. Most and least organized space in your home?
Most: my bathroom and writing desk. My bathroom contains the most ridiculous amount of products gifted from generous brands and the various subscription boxes I once subscribed to. My writing desk is my sanctuary and I keep decor and clutter to a minimum.

Least: my closet. I just have too many clothes with a constant stream coming in. Having just ordered another garment rack for the spare bedroom that doubles as a walk-in closet/storage space, I need to put it together for some much needed extra space!

3. What book have you read recently that really moved you?
I am always in between 3 and 4 books and as I was just sent 8 wonderful novels by a publisher to review, I am most excited to dive into:
I am always in between 3 and 4 books and as I was just sent 8 wonderful novels by a publisher to review, I am most excited to dive into:
Breaking Down the Walls: 50 Courageous & Successful Years at the Forefront of the Women’s Movement by Norma Yaeger (so important for us to remember why we are where we are today, we are so fortunate for the women who pioneered the way.)
Nothing is Impossible: 7 Steps to Realize Your True Power & Maximize Your Results by Tom Oliver (I love books like this and have dozens on my shelves!)
Stuff You Already Know by Gina DeLapa (I have already begun reading this and love all of the sage advice it provides!)

4. What dish are you most looking forward to at Thanksgiving dinner?
I am going to a dinner with M’s best friend and family and am so excited. The tables will no doubt be groaning from the weight of countless dishes, but I love mashed potatoes and desserts are also my weakness!

5. How do you take your coffee?
Typically black or with a bit of almond milk.
Typically black or with a bit of almond milk.
I save the delicious lattes as a treat and the only sweetener I use is Raw Stevia.
6. Thing you miss most about high school?
Truly nothing (well maybe the Friday night football games I cheered at, I loved cheerleading.) I was pretty quiet, not well-known and somewhat in limbo (being a minority living in a fairly wealthy, predominately white suburban town.)
It was not until college that I began to find myself and my relative place within society.
7. Most memorable concert?
Country Fest this year with M. It was so magical! I have always wanted to go and when he found out two weeks before the concert when everything was sold out, he still managed to finagle a pair and surprise me. It was also the place he first told me he loved me!
8. Dots or stripes?
Stripes for sure.
Stripes for sure.
9. How do you unwind before bed?
Customarily with a book or scrolling through beautiful/artsy photos on Instagram. I slather on a ridiculously nourishing body cream, affix my sleep mask and attempt to drift off.

Do you miss anything from high school?

November 13, 2013I think it's kind of fun to learn a bit more about bloggers too Jess (and you're so lucky – I really need to do something about my closet…) xo

November 12, 2013Oh my, my closet and my "get ready room" are both a hot mess! No matter how hard I try, I cannot keep them organized for more than 1 day!

November 12, 2013I love how honest you are–high school sucked, ok, let's just all admit it. My closet is also overfilling onto a garment rack, but I'm looking forward to the end-of-year purge that's coming soon.

November 13, 2013Adding books to my reading list now. It's funny, my closet is probably my most organized space. everything else looks like toys threw up everywhere. HAHA. I prefer stripes too <3
and I don't miss high school at all. I was such a depressed kid, but I'm not entirely sure why. Just moody. Glad I grew out of that 25 days out of each moth π LOL!
Georgina Castellucci
November 13, 2013I will definitely list reviews for them to let you know how they are too, promise! Lol I see what you did there and completely agree!! xo

November 13, 2013Every single one of those books sounds interesting to me.
I'm a stripes girl, too.
I miss the fact that I had very few responsibilities in high school. If only I'd realized at the time how easy my life was so I could have savored it a bit more π
Georgina Castellucci
November 13, 2013That is an excellent point Shana! For me unfortunately, the lack of responsibility translated into lack of freedom (though I should have savored it a bit more too!) xo
