Getting back into making more frequent posts, I decided to do one of my favorite types of article, sharing some of my favorite things of the moment.
I am all about products, hair, face, body. It comes out and looks the least bit promising? I’ll try it. I’ve been a longtime worshiper of Moroccan Oil for scalp treatments, blowout protection and a drop for a finishing sheen. A few months ago I tried the Luminous Hairspray and was hooked. I hate most hairsprays, hate the crunch, the fumes they create, everything. This one trumps all. It maintains the argan scent, gives a soft hold and provides a pretty sheen. I’m hooked and use it almost everyday now, making me feel more Jerseylicious than Bostonian.
Pinterest is a “social catalog service.” Its great for photographers, bloggers or anyone planning an event, home renovation or decor project. I love vision boards and this is just a less messy, much faster way of creating one. There’s also an option to follow other people that have exquisite taste. It is invite only, if you’d like to join just let me know. My personal PINTEREST
I began reading this novel and fell in love with it merely three lines in. After researching the author, it now comes to no surprise why. Muriel Barbery is both French and a professor of Philosophy (I majored in Philosophy as well as Public Policy during my undergraduate studies) and fell in love with all things French as a kindergartener when I began French lessons. This literary work is so wittily written full of class clashes, concealment of intellect, philosophical musings, music and art. Each page is an inspiration.
Shame on me for saying I’d never do it, but I’ve begun perusing some of the most creative and well photographed cooking blogs and attempting some of the more elementary recipes. On the first date with my significant other I bluntly stated “I do not cook. I don’t know how.” He laughed and replied “I’m not worried about that” and continued his relentlessly endearing questioning of all things Gina. Of my favorites are The Pioneer Woman, Smitten Kitchen, Honest Fare and Skinny Taste.
Cleanses are a current trend everywhere but drinking wheatgrass smoothies has been something I’ve been doing for a few years now. The health and beauty benefits are countless. If I lived in California I would be able to satisfy this need at one of the many juiceries located every other block. However, residing in a more suburban area of Massachusetts, I am reduced to either buying the ingredients myself, or heading into Boston for fresh grass. Until Joos. A woman came into my work with a small green bottle of what looked like fresh wheatgrass juice and I immediately began chatting with her. It turned out she actually helped run the above mentioned company that delivers these delicious cleanses five days a week!
Shoulder Bags are perfect for single digit days, keeping your hands free to be tucked into your pockets while still maintaining a polished veneer. The above are by McQueen and Mulberry.
