Recently a group of Boston influencers gathered for a media dinner at Aragosta Bar + Bistro
which boasts its New England culinary traditions with a North End twist.
We were provided a private audience with Chef Adamo who earned his culinary stripes
at The Four Seasons London, Loews in South Beach and became the first American chef
to join Melia International Hotels & Resorts for the opening of their first hotel in the U.S.
Our first course was the Poached Maine Lobster with cucumber slaw,
pickled serrano paired with a brut Moet & Chandon.
This was my absolutely favorite as it was so flavorful, tender and perfectly light for Spring!
Next was a Pickled Beet Salad with watermelon, Gorgonzola dolce, pistachio
and fig which was paired with a Rose D’Anjou Sauvion 2013.
Following were the George’s Bank Scallops with a corn puree, chorizo, sweet peas
and swiss chard paired with a MacMurray Ranch Pinot Noir 2015.
We finished the evening with hand cut gnocchi, lamb loin
and finally a sweet note;
and finally a sweet note;
Mocha Cinnamon Bonet with macerated berries and fritelles.
Beyond the picturesque lounge, Aragosta also offers a beautiful terrace right on the water
complete with elegant firepits where traditional lobster bakes are occasionally held!
An absolute gem, we have already planned our return when
Boston temperatures allow al fresco dining!
Have you been to Aragosta yet?
XOXO
