This post was written in collaboration with SheBuysCars & Chevrolet
however the following thoughts and opinions are my own.
I am an oddity in many respects but one attribute specifically is my fanatical
love of automobiles. Vintage, fast or sleek my love knows no bounds.
When SheBuysCars and Chevrolet invited me to join a wonderful group of influencers
at the New England Auto Show there was no question I would be there, early.
We were treated to a fantastic line-up of panelists including Wade Bryant who manages
Innovation & Design, Betsy Flegg the Marketing Manager for the Chevy Trax
and Kristen Lambert co-founder of Boston-based startup The Third Piece.
A few notes on the Trax; exceedingly millennial friendly as an entry level SUV
with 138hp, 34 mpg, FWD and a 6-speed transmission.
The tech components are truly what drew me to this affordable little beauty
(starting at $20,995 with all of the following features included) was the technology.
Built in wireless that extends 50ft. Okay that is all, I’m sold.
Siri eyes free (speak your texts for safe driving), built in Pandora, the largest touch screen
measuring in at 7″ and each Trax comes with a rear-view camera standard.
Following a press conference and delicious catered lunch we were treated to a personal tour of the
entire show prior to it opening to the public by James Bell; Head of Consumer Affairs for General Motors.
The entire experience was a memorable one, especially as the majority of the panelists
were inspiring women that are currently paving the way in business,
technology and the auto industry.

A few final snaps..
Thank you SheBuysCars and Chevrolet for such a fantastic experience that only deepened
my love of cars and the economical and technology-driven direction we are headed in!
What are you currently driving?
p.s. A flashback to when General Motors sent me their
brand new Cadillac ELR for ten days!
Teaming up with a lovely group of bloggers today sharing what they love for With Love Fridays.

February 6, 2015Are you both New Yorkers? I love the all black! I am from NYC and of course I don't drive because I take public transportation everywhere, but I was happy to see so many women innovators in the field! Sounds like you learned a ton at the Auto Show!

February 6, 2015When I sold cars for FIAT/Chrysler/Jeep I was very into SheBuysCars and BuyingCarsHerWay. The auto show is always great. I love the innovation these companies keep coming up with. It's definitely an exciting industry 🙂 Glad you and Elissa had the chance to experience it.

February 11, 2015I so wanted to go to this event but work got in the way. So fun makes me want to go car shopping. Although, after all this snow, I'm only going to look at something with all-wheel drive or 4 wheel drive.

March 22, 2015What to pick, what to pick? Just kidding, I don’t have a car and for the next couple of years things will remain the same. I’m way too clumsy and absentminded to drive a car right now, I’ll lock myself put from day one :).
