The Young Designers Collective is an association of artists and designers based in New York City.
Their designs are created solely for non-profit organizations with the intent to promote goodwill while gaining exposure for themselves in addition to their cause.
YDC serves as a platform for these young designers while allowing for the free exchange of ideas and talent to help foster the growth of their art.
Above is a piece by Shilpa Iyengar named “Hope.”
“Hope” was inspired by the pink ribbon and fight against breast cancer.
With each purchase, $25 is donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
What are some pieces you have previously purchased that are linked to a cause close to your heart?
I was provided the Hope piece at no expense to myself.
However, all of the above information was written without bias.
XOXO

October 16, 2013What a great organization! I recently bought a t-shirt that supported a daycare for children with autism. My cousin has it, and I try to support the cause in any way that I can, even if it means buying a t-shirt.

October 18, 2013love the idea of this … not only supporting a cause, but helping support talented artists. i try to shop with businesses that donate proceeds as well and am a fan of the group No.41 (supports young girls who make merchandise whose proceeds go back into the community and help fund educational and food programs). enjoy your weekend:)

October 19, 2013Hey Georgina,
Thanks for sharing the info about Young Designers Collective
My daughter relaunched her site Chic Renegade, and she is contributing a portion of the proceeds to benefit the cash strapped public school system here in Philadelphia. She sells jewelry and accessories and I'm proud to see that she is giving back to the local community.
