With the holidays out of the way, we are looking forward to a new year and all fresh fashion that it will bring with it.
In addition to setting goals and making plans, we can be on the lookout for new trends that will be popular this year. I don’t think that it is ever too early to get planning your next season’s wardrobe.
So if you’re in the same boat, what kind of trends will we be looking out for? Here are some trends that I am looking forward to incorporating into my daily rotation. I’d love to hear what you think about them:
Stripes
For the warmer weather that spring and summer will bring, seaside stripes will be a big trend. Don’t confuse the look with nautical stripes, though.
There will not be much in the way of black and white or blue and white stripes. Instead choose more floaty and romantic fits, rather than a traditional boxy, nautical stripe top.
Choose colorful stripes like red, pink, and yellow. Look for ones that have different sized stripes too. The less uniform looking, the better.
Robes
Remember when it was not cool at all to have a bathrobe? Well, now it is. Robes have featured highly with the likes of Lacoste and Jonathan Simkhai on the catwalks.
But there are of course lots of affordable high end options for you. So why not have a browse online somewhere like Saks or Nordstrom perhaps?
Then you could find a new one for home, and new robe style jacket to wear when you are out and about. Be sure to look for some Ann Summers discount codes too, though. Why pay more if you don’t have to?
Yellow
Yellow, in a variety of shades, will be big this coming spring and summer. For many of you, you might be thinking that it would be a nightmare.
Not everyone can pull off such a vibrant shade, right? Wrong! With all of the shades that will be available, there will be something for everyone.
Darker skin tones can embrace the brighter shades. Whereas paler skin should embrace the pastel shades of yellow that are a little softer. Yellow, in the right shade, looks especially great on redheads and brunettes.
Off-the-Shoulder Chic
Last summer, the off-the-shoulder trend was a bit of a nod to boho or prairie chic. The style was to have both shoulders exposed last year, with frilly tops and dresses.
But this year it is all about just exposing one of your shoulders. So look for a staple off-the-shoulder top or dress to wear all spring and summer long.
Feminine and pretty style work really well in this style. It can be a more casual look too, as it can be worn with an off-the-shoulder sweatshirt, for lounging around in for instance. So if your summer style is a little more casual, you can still rock that style with ease.
Are there any trends that you are looking forward to this coming spring and summer?
