Georgina’s Guide to Beauty: Spring 2013

 

Now I do not want to get ahead of myself, but after yesterday’s gorgeous weather

and the prediction of 70s later today – I feel confident Spring is truly here.

 

 

In gentle preparation, I was sorting through my makeup for inspiration on how to

“springify” my beauty routine and everyday looks.

 

 

 Easy on the Emerald

It should come as not surprise that the color of the year is being incorporated more

frequently on lids, nails and even in some cases, lashes.

   

I prefer to go subtle with the trend, typically layering green liner over a dark brown

for a hint of color while still maintaining that definition above or below my eye.

 

 

 

A trend I love is a more natural face with a bold punch of color on the lips. 

For Spring I favor a brighter, matte pink or tangerine. 

Similar to that on Missoni and Prada’s models.

 

For this look, Chanel’s Allure Velvet Luminous Matte in L’Exuberante is perfect.

 

 

 

Many of us are awaiting the premier of The Great Gatsby with bated breath. 

Some for the drama, many for the fashion but most certainly the beauty.

 

 

From incorporating dusty rose with more natural dark browns to gorgeous retro

pin curls, I am hoping this is a look many will emulate.

 

 

 

 The nearly bold brow.

Give your brow pencil a bit of a break with a more delicate take on last 

seasons uber-bold set of brows.

 

 

 

Good health is always in style. I take my SPF application seriously as should everyone.

Beauty starts from the inside out – if you’re not feeding your body what it needs, 

how is that skin going to get that gorgeous glow?

 

 

I also love lip butters, BB creams and luminizers to keep me properly hydrated, not oily.
