Halloween 2009 is steadily approaching and as e-vite after e-vite floods my facebook event list, I’m thinking about not Costume #1 (I picked that during the summer) but Costume #2 & 3.
For me Halloween is not about showing the most skin possible, but having something original, cute and appropriate.
My quest for the perfect costumes led me to think about past Celebrity Costumes and this years events that are sure to draw inspiration.
We all have favorites. Here are a few of mine:
LC: gorgeousssss flapper costume and even greater accessories. That girl knows how to do it
Gavin + Gwen: bacon and eggs
Bethenny’s: Roller Girl
Controversial: P Diddy’s POPE costume. WTH was he thinking!?
Just Plain Hated: all of Kelly Bensimone’s costumes…you’re old. Act like it and cover UP! Also hated Teri Hatcher’s “Queen of Hearts”
Last Year At Parties Some Recurring Costumes: (if you don’t mind being a year behind..)
- I saw a great deal of Sarah Palin’s running around
- The girl from Mad Men (Jane I believe? the gorgeous red head)
- Lots of sexy pirates (a-hoe me matey), jokers galore
- Loved the Gold Digger costume from a few years ago
- Amy Winehouse beehives were blocking all our views
- Marie Antoinette
Celebs I cannot wait to peep: Rihanna, LC, Paris, Speidi & I’m sure Tila Tequila’s getup will be chock-full of train-wreck.
Predictions for 2009
- A plethora of MJ costumes circa red leather jacket, bedazzling galore ..however they do it one thing will be the same. The GLOVE.
- Kate Gosselin & her hideous asymmetrical haircut will without a doubt be making too many appearances
- Barack/Michelle
- Something swiney
- Government Bailout Fairy
- Balloon Boy
- Lady Gaga leotards
- Rachel Zoe faux fur vests and vintage jewelry overdoses
- Twilight characters
- Amelia Earhart
- Take your favorite song/movie and find a character within it for inspiration.

October 21, 2009LC looks fabulous in that flapper costume, but Kelly Bensimon's masculine old body in fur underwear is scary…and not in a good Halloween way! Thanks for sharing. Awesome blog!
