If you asked everyone would they want to live in a luxurious home, the answer would be a unanimous yes. The problem is that luxury is expensive, and a lot of homeowners cannot afford to budget for luxury while real world needs take priority.
In putting the final touches on my move, I have though a lot about ways to add luxury without massive expensive. Would you be interested if it were possible? If the answer is yes, then take a gander at the following tricks and tips.
They could be the difference between living in a house of even somewhat perceived luxury, which may be all it takes to create enough of a change to satisfy your expensive tastes.
Buy A Ready-made Replacement.
Before everyone starts to get creative and think outside of the box, let’s address on of the first and easiest options – buying a new property. Okay, buying luxury real estate is going to be expensive initially, but it can pay off in the future.
For one, if selected properly, you won’t have to make as many major changes to your property to transform it into the house of your dreams. If you think about your previous moves, you’ll note a subtle (or perhaps dramatic) upward trend in the quality of your homes/apartments.
This is a natural progression yes?
Take Care Of The Little Details.
While some may claim the larger accessories make much more of a difference, it’s the small details that are the key. The small details are the ones that stand out to the eyes and transform a property from nice home to a perfect one.
The perfect color of paint on an accent wall, a room full of natural light, expansive windows that allow you a stunning view.
Even subtle touches like a new set of pillow or cushion covers. Every home in the world has them, but the quality of the material can make them seem cheap. By investing in high-quality material, you almost instantly feel a luxurious upgrade of your surroundings.
Create a Splash with Just One Accessory.
The key to making it seem as if you live in a house of luxury is to have one item that stands out from the the others and those of your neighbors/friends. This item should always be legitimate and should act as a focal point of the room.
Chandeliers, for example are considered by some as the epitome of wealth and elegance. So, one look at a crystal chandelier at everyone will instantly think you’re loaded and wondering why you couldn’t have splurged on better wine for the dinner you’re hosting.
The featured ~splash~ should be big because it needs to draw the attention as soon as you walk in the door. From furniture to electrical appliances, there are plenty of ways to add a focal feature.
Incorporate Marble And Stone.
Marble and stone, a lot like a chandelier are synonymous with elegance. And elegance synonymous with luxury.
Use marble and natural stone to decorate to alternatives like your counter-tops. The best place to start is in the master bath as bathrooms where we spend a good portion of our time taking lazy baths and getting ready in the morning and evening.
Another great material for around the house is hardwood for the floors, over carpet.
Finally, always make sure that your home is comfortable because luxury is all about living in comfort.
