Below are a few of my favorite styles which are easily achieved with just one appliance.
yet gorgeous look for everyday or a night out.
Prep your hair with the right products so that itβs not too squeaky clean and will hold a style before sectioning your hair and running your iron through your hair in a waving motion. I do my entire head and then mess it up for some texture.
One important tip; when achieving the perfect beachy waves, do not curl the last inch
(or up to an inch and half if you have long hair.) Too much curl looks too
done to have been created by salt, sea and gentle breezes.
It’s most important to spray each curl with hairspray after they have had time to cool,
then brush out with your fingers gently after you finish the last piece.
Sleek and Straight. This style goes without saying, however there are still a
few tricks you can use to make sure you get the sleekest, straightest look possible.
Always make sure you use a heat protectant spray on
your hair to stop your from frying you hair, prevent breakage and battle flyaways.
Then section off your hair and straighten smaller pieces.
Many people run the straightener over one piece multiple times,
but there really is no need. Simply go over one piece once, very slowly.

Hair chalk allows you to experiment without committing to a permanent color.
Apply the chalk in the manner you typically would, after
which use your flat iron to seal it in for extra staying power.
Do you have other styles you create using your flat iron?
Below are some of my favorite products to protect and enhance my strands:

August 20, 2014Isn't it kind of fun? Now I wish I could do ombre hair chalk in a somewhat natural color (for temp color and not risking damage to my hair) xo
