Hi again! I took some time away from my blog as more pressing things were occurring
and it has not seemed appropriate to return until now.
To be honest, I even visited some of the blogs of my fellow Bostonians to see if they
were back before beginning a post of my own.
Friday night, I treated my fabulous friend Andrae to a celebratory drink (and shot of Patron) following the conclusion to what was a truly awful week here in Boston.
I kid you not he whipped this thing out… (I have one in pink)
I started a fair amount of my flower garden and could not be more excited at the prospect
of fresh flowers all summer! Many of the seeds I am starting in biodegradable pots
and then plan to transfer them into the ground in a few weeks.
Yesterday was Administrative Professionals Day. A bunch of the guys gave me two boxes
of donuts (kind of a joke) and my boss gave me an incredibly generous gift certificate
to the spa I frequent. I definitely feel appreciated, thank you!!!
I have been training for a half-marathon and things have been progressing much better
than expected. With every training session I feel stronger, faster and more inspired.
I have also started eating a diet consisting of 75% raw fruits and vegetables.
I feel amazing, my skin is glowing but (sorry for this) I can definitely tell my water
uptake has increased as a result – especially at night boo π
I love to add seasonal touches to the house, changing color palettes from time to time.
Also on my agenda is slowly but surely picking up pieces for an event I am
hostessing later in the season. I am beyond excited!
Weather allowing I spend my lunch hour walking outside and popping into shops
to find pieces like that gorgeous teal bowl above.
In the meantime…
I am busy training for my half-marathon which has been one of the
most eye-opening and encouraging processes ever.
I head to Miami in exactly two weeks.
Saturday I am attending the BlogBetterBoston Style Summit and could not be more excited
to participate in the fantastic workshops and network with others.
Lastly, a reminder that my April Soderstrom Giveaway is drawing to a close,
so don’t forget to enter daily to win a pair of Tabac studs!
Thank you again for all of the kind communication sent my way in the past week.
So many others that live and work closer were impacted far more than I
but I was so touched by the support everyone showed Boston.

April 25, 2013Nice post. I felt odd posting last week, but when I did, it helped take my mind off of what was going on around us.
I hope you had a happy Admin Pro Day. You have a great boss! My boss has no idea what day of the week it currently is unless I remind him, so needless to say there was no grand gesture here!

April 26, 2013My body is only finally beginning to morph into the one I had while at the peak of my athleticism and it IS exciting haha.
The secret is definitely working your way up slowly but surely and mind over matter. There are times I feel like I can't do another mile but I keep myself motivated mentally and push through.

April 26, 2013It's amazing how Boston literally went on pause last week. Made me realize how much love everyone in the world really can have towards one another, unfortunate that situations like that have to happen but it's nice to know that people do care when things like that happen
P.S. I'm going to get a new Pop Phone for Miaimi!!
