This weekend I finished controversial novel “The Rx Factor” by J. Thomas Shaw.
About the author: John Thomas Shaw was born in Quincy, IL, attended college at Illinois
State University in Normal, IL and relocated to Chicago after his
graduation.

What a read! I mean a page turner. I began the book
impressed by solid prose that left vivid imagery of emotions brought on by main
characters Jordan and Ryan.

Though there were a few turn of events that some
may predict, the ending is one you will never believe. After the shock and

Alternatively, the
variance in characters and each of their own personal developments throughout
the duration of the novel was quite thrilling, ensuring there to be a favorite
for each type of bookworm.

Most touching was the personal element that Shaw shares with
his readers regarding his own medical battle before The Rx Factor was released.

Having dedicated much of my Undergraduate studies to Public Policy and
scrutinizing the horrendous practices of big, greedy PHARMA, very little of the
ground covered throughout most of the book surprised me until the end.

Honestly there were a few parts flush with medical jargon
that may have been a bit difficult to get through but were well worth the slight
effort. Truly an eye opener for any American, this is a book well worth the
time and energy.

You will receive an abundance of insight and have a new-found wariness
for the pharmaceuticals we are fed to keep our ailments “maintained.”

Well done Mr. Shaw, from someone who deals daily with a
chronic, genetic disorder, despite the underlying truths masked as fiction, I
was provided a glimmer of hope.
