Wildfox ‘Classic Fox – Deluxe 50mm Sunglasses in Crystal |
I am without a doubt getting a little ahead of myself here, but as my Spring list is complete,
I have turned my attention to my summer must haves for 2015.
It will be here before we know it (at least those of us in freezing Boston are hoping)
and it is always nice to be prepared!
Below are just a few of my Summer must-haves, dependent and
independent from the forecasted trends.
The Milly Essex Fringe Drawstring in Caramel |
A Suede Bag
Suede is said to be the most popular material of the summer,
thanks to the 70s trend that has been making quite a revival.
I have chosen at least one suede bag that I will be able to wear with everything (and will not get
bored of it.) I cannot say the same assimilation would be as easily achieved with a suede jacket.
It is always up to you which suede item you go for, so don’t be afraid to experiment.
I decided to select a bag with fringe detail (a bit unlike me) for extra texture and outfit detail.

Floral Print Pants/Skirts
Following the 70s trend, the floral print is already one I have been spotting on
other blogs, event coverage and more.
The print will look gorgeous on a pair of flowing trousers or a
beautiful full mid skirt (which is what I am still on the hunt for!)
I envision pairing the skirt/cropped pants with a plain camisole or silk tailored blouse.

I prefer that the floral print is rather pronounced like the one in the Chicwish above; if I am embracing a print, I go all out (and wouldn’t it be nice to give a proper ode to the 70s?)

A Bright Yellow Jacket
Yellow is going to be one of the biggest colors come summer, and as it is one of the colors I wear well, I am sufficiently pleased. I find that yellow looks great with my skin tone, and is such a happy, bright color to wear at any time of year.
I elected for a blazer. Working in a fun startup environment in Boston, we are able to wear literally anything we wish however I prefer to maintain a pulled together, yet stylish look.
Tom Ford Nastasya Cat Eye |
Stylish Sunglasses
Though a daily need year round, there is no other time of year that I rely on one element of my wardrobe so heavily as I rely on my sunglasses during Summer months.
In late Spring I love to find the pair that is the perfect meeting of stylish and relaxed while maintaining my personality. When I find that pair (and at least one accompanying bikini) I feel I am truly ready for the season to begin.
Treating yourself to at least one new pair each year does not always have to be expensive as many of us have had haphazard experiences while paddleboarding or kayaking down the Charles.
You should also view the Karen Walker collection on Tuchuzy, as they have
a wonderful range of beautiful styles to choose from!

Blue Shoes
Blue is set to be another huge color in summer, so I have been on the hunt for loafers,
pumps and sandals in the universally flattering hue!
I always enjoy experimenting with my shoes, and adding a pop of color is the
perfect way to add an element of fun to any ensemble.

Unique Sandals
I typically favor a less conventional pair of sandals for Summer, as they add focus and
creativity to any outfit. Shorts, skirts, flowing pants and especially jeans.
I keep a fun yet reasonably comfortable pair with me to throw on when heading out for social events post-work. I do also love a great gladiator style sandal.
What are your must haves for Summer 2015?

March 22, 2015For me this summer will be all about midi skirts. I made the switch from a more grungy approach to a more lady-like style and never felt better, it’s like I’m always buying skirts haha. Love the ‘70s trend and Zara has a lot of stuff, very feminine and Coachella like, can’t wait to go shopping!
