MDW Memories: Best Weekend Ever

I had an amazing weekend – far better than I could have ever imagine. How fitting that I had made next to zero plans in advance, thinking I would just go in whichever direction I chose.

I decided to do a bit of thrifting at Savers and found some pretty amazing accessories which you will see in various outfit posts  and two huge finds.

The first is a strapless, white eyelet sundress by Laundry by Shelli Segal in next to new condition. That set me back a whopping $15 (note: I am not the type of person to constantly mention how much I paid for something unless it’s dirt cheap).

The second, a black silk romper by Free People that has see-through material on the shoulders/clavicle and upper chest (not inappropriate or trashy). Basically it will look quite fierce with a pair of heels (perhaps one of the above pictured that I tried on?) That still had the tags on it. Um score?

After that, I did a bit more shopping elsewhere to pick up odds and ends for my new place and beach day necessities.

My gorgeous friend (who is also an incredibly talented photographer – you’ll be seeing some of her work shortly) and met up for brunch on the patio. Tuscan Egg Benedict and Bellini’s were delicious.

After, I completed a brief styling challenge as said photographer is going to refer me to style some of her shoots! I was so nervous and it was a bit difficult to achieve my vision as the store was out of the most on trend pieces. It went well however (whew)!

I stopped by a few local Farmer’s Markets as this was the opening weekend for some. I was a bit disappointed with what was offered, however my favorite of the bunch opens June 22nd.

Next I decided to head to the ever well-manicured Wellesley College for a long walk and some photography practice. Angles, aperiture, lighting, setting the scene – I tried to keep all of it in mind.

Dinner was a delicious and healthy salad from Whole Foods with raw kale, curried tofu, sauteed mushrooms, grilled teriyaki chicken, falafel and romaine lettuce. Delicious and filling!
