When it comes to fashion, I have always preferred a more classic style while
incorporating subtle pops of color or statement pieces – always of great quality of course.
Just recently I read an article where straight males weighed in on whether or not
they found it appealing when women wore leggings as pants.
Though an interesting debate, it has not been a topic of too much concern until I was
sent a pair of statement No nonsense tights and leggings.
Let me tell you, they sure do seem to test the boundaries of the typical legging.
To demonstrate just how non-legging like this pair was, I decided to conduct a
test and wore them at my office for casual Friday where nice jeans are allowed.
oxford (JCrew) and somewhat collegiate cardigan (Forever21) on my upper half.
A flattering dark wash, I can say I prefer them by far to even my favorite
pair of skinny jeans (in price, comfort and even appearance.)
Now styling red tights is a completely different ballgame, especially because
I previously explained my hesitation (in this post) when it comes to the color red.
There’s definitely the option to remain somewhat understated when it comes
to a bright color and then you can take a chance and go for it on say, a night out.
I am such a fan of brightly colored tights, I have them in deep purple, hunter green,
royal blue and so many prints because well, sometimes I just get carried away.
Regardless, I feel it to be vital to bring life into your wardrobe during winter months.
As a plus, you will not need to pack away all of your darling dresses and pencil skirts no?
No nonsense tights and leggings here.

November 28, 2012I love tights esp color tights. Now that the weather has gotten below zero here in Minneapolis, with tights, I can wear knee length dresses without freezing.. Xo-Jewel
