Notes on Beauty: Latest Obsessions & Giveaway!

Of all the products within my beauty arsenal, a quality exfoliant ranks highest.

Second is serum and third, an ultra-luxe eye cream. 

Previously having a wonderful experience with Radical Skincare products, I was delighted when they sent me their Age-Defying Exfoliating Pads to try at my leisure.

For nightly use after cleansing, the pads are quite effective in a non-abrasive manner that gives your skin that extra cleansing. The next morning I awoke to brighter, smoother skin.

I am always a bit worried when trying a new product as my skin is a bit sensitive and there is never any telling how I could react to exfoliants especially. There was absolutely no reaction with the pads!

Found at Sephora in both the U.S. as well as Canada, the brand is easily moving up the ranks of my beauty product favorites.

I am always interested in sampling beauty products from other countries, so when New Zealand based Obiqo contacted me, I was quite interested in their products that contain natural marine extracts.

I first tried the Smoothing Eye Cream (easily one of the thickest eye creams I have ever used.) Not only effective, but lacking an overly perfumed scent that just is not necessary for an eye cream. I want it to protect that fragile skin, no one is going to be sniffing my crows feet!

Second one was the Intensive Facial Serum because as you know, a good serum will only help your day or night cream work more effectively.

The serum is now one I cannot live without. A few pumps at night before slathering on my night cream and I awake to refreshed skin. A few before my day cream and primer and my skin is dewy prior to being touched by highlighter!

The most important aspect is that it is so incredibly gentle to the skin. Everyone has different skin, mine is very finicky and thankfully these both passed with flying colors.
