circa 2011 |
This day on my blog used to be dubbed “Workout Wednesday” but as things grow and progress, I have occasionally gravitated to other topics.
In my recent quest to drop the last few pounds and tone up to look lean and mean poolside, I have utilized several methods to keep the process as short and sweet (okay not feasible) as possible.
Before I embark on my little recap, I want to disclose per usual that I am not a certified nutritionist nor licensed to train anyone professionally. What I am sharing is simply what worked for me in the hopes it can also make a difference for you.
Supplements
We all can get into a bit of a rut regarding our eating and for me, I seemed to be eating a bit more than I should have been. Which only perpetuated the somewhat unhealthy status quo.
I am all about doing things as naturally as possible but as we get a bit older, our bodies may not bounce back quite as fast as they once did. So sometimes we need a little help.
Last year I was contacted by Creative BioScience to select any line of the supplements I wished to see just how well they worked when met with a reasonable fitness plan.
It turns out they worked pretty darn well.
The supplements I chose help curb the appetite while providing you with a source of extra energy naturally via green tea extract, Raspberry Ketones and numerous other ingredients found in nature.
I recently used the supplement on a weekend to do a miniature cleanse, taking it in the morning and accompanying it solely with raw foods Saturday and Sunday.
By Monday, my appetite was back to normal, perhaps even a bit more diminished than expected. I also noticed my palette was back to influencing me more towards healthier choices rather than some of the poorer ones I had been sporadically making.
Current Progress |
While this particular supplement may not work for everyone, it will definitely be beneficial for you to find one that suits your body best.
Next week I will share the new workouts I have been doing, designed by three fantastic instructors (1 Personal Trainer, 1 well-known Pilates guru and 1 marathon coach.)

June 19, 2013Almost…I'd like to get a bit leaner, my legs are the only part that require a bit of extra work usually and they could use a little help right now haha.

June 20, 2013You look incredible.
Right now I'm working out pretty much everyday. I'm trying to limit the amount of junk food I eat but that's hard since I like candy and chips.
I also allow myself 1-2 cheat days per week that way I don't feel like I'm restricting myself too much.

June 20, 2013This supplement sounds awesome. I only eat fruits and vegetables {at least 98% of the time}; paired with tons of dancing / exercise and I'm good to go. π
