I began this series with the intent to incorporate it each Wednesday.
We have already incorporated a few of my secrets but I am constantly being exposed to some of the best products, workouts and methods available at the moment.
Thursday evening I will attend an event at Equinox to mingle with some of Boston’s fittest, take some fun classes and enjoy some healthy snacks.
Now onto the important stuff.
I promised to share my workouts but if you are going to emulate any of them in any way make sure you listen to your body. If something feels a bit unnatural or painful stop.
Everyones body is different and I am not a certified personal trainer.
Also it is important to maintain a healthy weight for so many reasons especially to keep your skins elasticity. Gaining and losing weight over and over again will lead your skin to eventually sag after all of the stretching and deflating it has been put through.

Workout frequency. I workout between four and six times a week. It all depends on how I am feeling, what is going on in my life, how much sleep I am getting etc.
Every other day I do a running workout of some type and twice a week I use weights.
Workouts. On my running days I use a pre-workout supplement chock full of vitamins that prepares my body for the loss of electrolytes and protects it afterwards when my muscles may be a bit sore.
My workout is as follows:
1 minute jog
1 mile as fast as possible (I listen to my body and begin at one speed and as I feel warmed up I increase until I sprint the last two minutes. My mile time ranges between 7:11 and 9 minutes.)
2 minute lateral shuffle with my left leg closest to the front of the machine.
2 minute lateral shuffle with my right leg closest to the front of the machine (this is an exceptional exercise for those of you that want to tackle that troublesome inner thigh.)
1 minute of walking lunges at a slower pace.
Repeat lateral shuffles and lunges once. Twice if I am feeling sassy.
Jog for another 15 – 20 minutes at a comfortable pace.
You will be dripping sweat after your first set of laterals and burn a lot more calories than the typical jogging workout. Interval training is crucial in losing weight. Find a way to incorporate it and you will see results faster than ever.
Next week I will share my weights workouts and then pilates toning exercises learned from
the areas best trainers and instructors.

I currently do a lot of 'Cardio Ballroom'. It is a series of ballroom dances {cha-cha, jive, paso} done with cardio methodology. Amazing. I also do a lot of Ballet Conditioning which is insane for the legs!! π

July 26, 2013My goodness, where do you find the energy??
Georgina
July 26, 20138 hours of sleep each night and a pre-workout drink works wonders. Also eating really clean (mainly raw food) and 95% of what I drink is water. It's the only way to have the energy I have while dealing with the side effect of Lupus :-/

July 26, 2013Oh cool! Have you ever tried the daily hiit videos? I noticed I've leaned out a lot since doing them. And I love running intervals!

December 28, 2013I used to take tons of pills and found my stomach wanting to reject them. The size of those pills and amount make it a deal breaker for me. Now I take a shake in the morning.
