A Saturday Collection: 7 Weekend Suggestions

I woke up early to texts from my stylist letting me know she had an opening and did I need a session with her. Mind reader. In the search of hair-inspiration, I saw this photo of Emanuela de Paula.

Those curls. Though I always go straight (one exception) her look had me wishing I’d do something more natural as my hair is not organically as tidy and sheen-filled as I wear it each day (surprise).

Suggestion? Try a new look – mix it up, skip the heat and go au naturale with your curls (they’re so pretty!)

 Summer is the perfect time for light delicious dishes that just would not hold the same appeal during another season.

Suggestion? Try a dish like this Cool Jicama Slaw and pair it with a crisp white. Instant summer bliss?

 I have been meaning to cultivate a beginner art collection I can be proud of. Slowly I’ve found gorgeous, affordable prints that would never grow old in their places on my wall.

Suggestion? Browse your local street vendors, flea market and etsy shops for gorgeous visuals that bring beauty and color into your home. I can’t see you regretting it.

We all have that friend we’ve been meaning to catch up with but life is crazy and it keeps getting put off. Friendships like so many other things require attention to stay alive.

Suggestion? Send a little love their way, make their day. They’ll feel touched you were thinking of them and reconnecting may bring an entire host of new unexpected elements into your life. 

I purchased an “urban garden” kit (yes..I live in the suburbs) but I live more like an urbanite. Does that make sense? Never home, always on the go, socializing and networking beyond belief. This weekend perhaps I’ll crack open the kit and…garden?

 

Suggestion? Get in touch with nature – go hiking, plant something pretty or just lay out (safely – with adequate SPF). Being outside makes me so happy and helps me relax – I think we could all do with some additional Vitamin D.

During my recent move I vowed to keep my accessories more organized. I have a belt/scarf drawer, designated handbag shelves, an adorable jewelry tree that I actually use and several trays for my rings and odd bits.

 

Suggestion? Take a few moments to put like pieces together – it will save you time during the week when searching for the perfect outfit accentuate. Keep things organized by spending a little time each day making sure you put things back – simple!
