My Labor Day Weekend was a dream.
I took Thursday and Friday off from work and headed to M’s neck of the woods
for a few days before we headed to his best friend’s place on Lake Winnipesaukee.
Thursday we saw 2 Guns (loved it) and Friday evening we had Taco night (yum!?)
We even did a bit of shopping for an upcoming collaboration on my blog (that the brand asked him to also be a part of!)
I am not sure why I was so surprised because he is always so thoughtful, but upon arriving at his place for the first time he had bought me my own toothbrush (pink, my favorite color), bodywash (the same one I use, he pays attention) and loofah that would remain at his house to lessen the number of things I need to pack.
I was kind of floored. He even made some space in his closet for me.
Actually a lot because he knows how much I tend to over-pack lol.
We headed up to the lake early Saturday morning and it was a bit overcast.
By the time we reached their beautiful condo the sun was out and the weather was absolutely perfect!
Our hosts, M’s best friend Frederick (pictured above) and his beautiful wife Elaine (pictured to the left of me below), were so gracious, thinking of literally everything. She even went as far as hand-making and labeling our lunches based on our personal preferences (which she has asked for ahead of time.)
We went to Braun Bay where dozens of boats anchored, relaxing and socializing with others
also on vacation. I got to meet so many people and enjoyed the entire experience immensely.
Sunday we woke up and went for breakfast on our own while everyone got up at their own pace (perfect in my opinion, love when the hosts are relaxed and do not schedule every second of the stay!)
We had coffee and breakfast sandwiches on the patio of Kara’s.
I was actually at a bit of a loss on what sandwich to select and M pointed one out that I had
completely skimmed over.
It was perfect and topped with sprouts along with several other vegetables he knew I preferred.
After breakfast we explored the town a bit, there were so many little shops and beautiful sites to take in.

I loved this basket of belt buckles.
The color and cut of this dress is absolutely perfect and I love the embroidery.
On our way home we saw a few open houses for condos that had decent views over the lake and stopped to take a peek.
I made myself at home a bit….
This weekend was definitely another wonderful one for us.
I am so thankful to our gracious hosts Frederick and Elaine who went above and beyond in every sense to ensure we were comfortable and had a great time.
It is always a bit nerve-wracking meeting your boyfriends best friend (and knowing his wife is an absolute knock-out.) But as M is such a warm-hearted person, I was not surprised at how genuine and sweet they both were. I truly did luck out.
