Life is so funny. Friday I tweeted (jokingly) that if I were to one day gain a boyfriend the first prerequisite would be that he has to be open to learn more about photography.
Then Saturday…I met someone. We spent the day at a local music festival listening to talented performers, popping into art galleries, walking leisurely through a gorgeous park, catching up on a bit of New England history and feeding little ducklings.
I spotted this little guy just relaxing. As soon as he saw me point my lens in his direction he stood to attention with what I could only consider the cutest canine grin.
We were watching two older men feed a large swarm of ducks that seemed to appear out of nowhere. One of the men offered to share the bread so I could feed them too. Naturally “M” took my camera from me to free my hands but then also to capture the moment.
Uncanny coincidence I think.
Towards the end of our walk an older couple waved us over and pointed out this beautiful
Blue Heron! It was absolutely gorgeous and quite exciting (nerdy or what?)
He suggested we head to a rooftop to watch the sunset where he pointed out great shot after great shot which I attempted to photograph to some ability.
On the drive home he looked over at me and said: “So what do you think? Should we go out again?” Already bursting with happiness and unable to articulate it all I just smiled and nodded my head. “When?” he asked. “Tomorrow” I said. It turns out he was thinking the same thing.
Sunday I had an appointment to view a venue for an upcoming blogger event I am hostessing but after we parked near the Seaport and walked around as it did not rain as had been predicted.
We dined al fresco on Legal Harborside’s deck thoroughly enjoying ourselves before heading to the North End.
There was a festival/parade going on which we took some time to watch before ducking into the Thinking Cup, a unique coffee shop slash bakery on Hanover St.
Salted caramel, pistachio, hazelnut and chocolate |
It was there I urged M to taste his very first macaron with the cappuccinos we were enjoying.
So it goes without saying, this was pretty much the best. weekend. ever.
What was the highlight of your weekend?
