Scenes From My Weekend & Win My Luxe Earbuds

Friday began beautifully with a brilliant sunrise and a type of optimism only Bostonians feel on one of the biggest days of the year. Which day is that you ask? 

Well Opening Day for our beloved Red Sox of course!

Feeling a tad bit sluggish I remedied the situation with some green juice (this worked wonders.)

Fresh flowers do always seem to help too….

We celebrated in the with food, raffles/prizes and trivia.

Saturday was so gorgeous we decided to take a hike in Newburyport.

We happened upon an abandoned garden, the “great” house having burned down years prior it was interesting to wander around the foundation wondering which room belonged to whom and even note a sweet burial ground for the families horses.

 

Sunday we headed to the coast, traveling through Magnolia, Gloucester and finally reached our destination – Essex.

After dining at the well-known eatery Farnham’s, we did a bit of antiquing down the road!

I may seem quite predictable but the pieces that struck my fancy the most were books (from the 17th century no less!) I browsed memoir after memoir, fascinated.

I love pieces that make you think, about their previous owner, 

where and why it was purchased, the emotions attached.
