Susan, myself, Abby, Agnes & Jodi |
Last week I said goodbye to one of my first and favorite Boston blogger friends, Abigail of
The Fabulous Life of a Natural Disaster. It has been wonderful watching her grow as a blogger and her unique style has evolved into something truly admirable.
Though she will technically now be a SoCal blogger, Boston will always reserve a spot for her at each of our events and continue to watch her star rise as I know it will.
Myself and a few other bloggers met up at Tory Row for delicious sangria and snacks and “M” showed up at the end, capturing all of these candid (and some more posed) moments.
I love this one especially as it shows me talking with my hands (per usual) and Abby with the most beautiful smile on her face listening with rapt attention (nevermind that I was most likely speaking sangria induced nonsense by that time.)
One from my Instagram
M was happy to take a few outfit photos, I am so fortunate for his patience and genuine love of photography.
He had to play with a Tesla on display… |
Thursday evening Matt and I went shopping for our Country Fest outfits. I have never been and always wanted to attend but none of my close friends are really that into Country.
When he found out, he found tickets for us immediately despite their sold out status.
The dress M picked out |
I found a few options for the concert (wait for the photos of us, we may or may not be a tad bit matchy-matchy) and he even picked out a cute floral dress that I wasn’t completely sold on. So he bought it (for me to wear…not him lol!) He was right and I ended up loving it and wearing it later on that weekend.
Friday I metup with Megan of Stylish & Scatterbrained who is a Chicago-based blogger that was going to be in town and reached out to myself and Amy of Cupcakes & Couture.
We dined at Met Bar Back Bay, talked blogging, men & fashion!
M popped by as both girls were curious and was once again, the event photographer.
Love this candid!
Both ladies approved, not only because of his good looks and charm but his clear ability to be the best shopping partner ever and his true lack of interest in watching sports on tv (did I luck out or what!?)
Saturday we were lazy, slept in and went for a late coffee run before getting ready for the Red Sox vs Yankee game at Fenway.
We had such a great time and made friends everywhere we went.
The women at the concessions took one look at us and said “Ya’ll are in loveeeeeeee.” We just grinned. They wanted to know everything. Is it that obvious!? 🙂
Later that evening we had dinner at The Parrish Cafe in The South End where we shared The Harrington salad (the mix of feta and mint is so unexpectedly exquisite,) macaroni & cheese and raw seared mahi.
As I have said before, I love this place. The quality of the food is high while the prices are kept very reasonable and the service has always been impeccable.
Sunday I spent the day with Alana of Good Girl Gone Blog for a fun shopping excursion that will be getting it’s own post.
It was wonderful to learn more about the young woman behind Blog Better Boston, her current endeavors and a great deal more.
Boston bloggers are finally receiving national attention for their entrepreneurial endeavors, classic style and more. It is so exciting to see and we appreciate your support!
Something I have consistently been aware of is making sure there is a balance between my girl time and my new relationship. I do not want to be one of those girls that completely drops her girls in the midst of her excitement.
Tonight is an enormous Boston blogger event hosted by Alison of Long Distance Loving and Kate of DomestiKated Life and it is the biggest gathering yet.
While glancing through the guest list yesterday I started to get really excited because there are bigger bloggers, newer bloggers, foodies, fashionistas, Mom bloggers, literary ladies, DIY divas, financial femmes and so. much. more.
I can’t believe that just a year ago I attended my first event and how much of an impact it has had on me as a blogger, woman and friend.
The night is going to be inevitably epic. I will be live tweeting & showing you everything via Instagram.
What was your favorite part of your weekend?
