Scenes From My Weekend

I recapped a bit of my weekend (mainly with my Saturday birthday reflection) but 

as you may know, we tend to pack a great deal into those two days.

Fortunately, I was able to spend time with M, my family and my childhood priest 

(no rhythm or rhyme to that combination of people I promise.)

Shortly after heading back from the Cape, I picked up my new car which I am beyond excited about! RIP Josie the Jetta, you were my first cute car but certainly not my last.

Sunday we slept in a tiny bit before running necessary errands and deciding to head 

to Gloucester for a walk along the water and lunch.

We ate at Latitude 43, a charming restaurant on the water with delicious food and exquisite decor (the sushi bar had the most darling and somewhat authentic seating.)

We began the meal with some yellow tail before enjoying the Seared Scallops (with truffle mushroom cream, fingerling potatoes and brussels sprouts in a red wine glaze.)

The Duck Confit Carbonara Spaghetti with bacon and sautéed arugula 

was equally delicious, though a bit on the heavy side.

We stopped into our favorite cafe for cappuccinos before 

heading home to get rest before the chaotic week ahead.
