As this weekend was the official beginning of Fall, of course we spent it at the beach.
The weather was just far too amazing!
We started with brunch at Angie’s in Newburyport (the stuffed french toast truly is as amazing as it has been described) followed by some shopping.
We stopped for coffee at Souffle’s where we ordered nutella lattes, enjoying them outside before heading to Plum Island to relax on the beach and then visit M’s sweet sister.
Though it may seem cloudy in these photos, the sun peeked out several times
and the temperatures remained quite comfortable.
We headed nearby to visit M’s sister, relaxing and catching up then spontaneously deciding to have dinner together at the Plum Island Grille. It was absolutely delicious.

Sunday we spent the afternoon at the MSPCA, visiting animals in need of loving homes (adopt today!)
After doing a bit more shopping we enjoyed dinner at The Common Man, one of my favorites as of late. The service was also fantastic (thank you Shyla!)
Everything was so well executed from the hodge-podge of cloth covered couches in the lounge, to the gorgeous hand-carved bar where the proffered cheese and crackers sat.
At the end of each meal, diners are offered delicious chocolate and one of the American classics to write a little something in (we got Tom Sawyer!)
Out of respect for it’s patrons The Common Man does not allow indoor photography
so I apologize but the experience was not visually documented.
Last night we were lucky enough to be invited to the Bruins game by M’s best friend.
We pack a lot into our weekends, so much so that my updates go live a bit late.
I would not have it any other way.
