Seasonal Savings with Target Pharmacy

There is nothing I enjoy more than feeling I have discovered some new lifehack. In other 
words; to be able to fit more into my day (like Beyonce) and being 
more efficient with an app, service or whatever it may be.

One may not think the term lifehack has any relevance in reference to a Pharmacy Experience
however Target continues to find ways to make our entire experience more convenient.

While refilling ones prescriptions may not seem especially glamorous, 
Target manages to bring the experience quite close.

Picture dropping off your prescriptions shortly after entering the red Shangri-La then 
heading straight to the cosmetics department, completely disregarding all of the 
other items actually on your shopping list.

After picking up a new primer, blending brush and lip stain in the perfect shade of berry for Winter, you gravitate towards several other departments before settling into your actual necessities (and yes, the shoe department was a necessity.)

As you nervously glance at your rapidly filling cart your iPhone sends you a little notification thankfully allowing you to focus on something other than the fact that yet again you have overdone it when you anticipated buying only four items.

Who is it? Well it’s Target letting you know your prescriptions are ready. 
Instantly you feel better, though you may be spending a bit heck of a lot 
more than anticipated, you were also productive!

You can strike this off your list as you have not only dropped off your prescription 
but picked it up (something that typically takes two trips.)

When you approach the counter, teeming with energy due to your new efficient prowess; 
the pharmacist let’s you know that as you are a new rewards member, 
you will be receiving 5% off of all the items in your cart.

What. Managing to not do a little Carlton dance while paying, your mind races to that 
pair of boots you responsibly put back on the shelf (as you already had two other pairs you 
needed in your cart.) They seem a completely justifiable purchase now with all you saved!

Staring at your receipt you also notice a weird phenomenon. Why are your medicines so
inexpensive all of a sudden? The pharmacist lets you know that they offer hundreds 
of $4 generics (while handing you your shiny new Pharmacy Rewards card.

Furthermore, in the future; you will receive 5% off everything in your Target cart each time 
you fill five prescriptions (whether they are your sisters, brothers or your pets!) 
So much savings to look forward to no!?

I know it may have been a bit unsettling to find how closely this resembles your 
Target experience but disappointing as you have not yet managed to gain 
the discount so many of us are already enjoying.

I challenge you to Flip the Script and make your Target experiences a great deal 
more enjoyable (and financially responsible!)
