This may a bit of a surprise but I am actually a fairly shy person. A lot of people have these larger than life online presences (not that I do) but I’m really a shy girl finally venturing out.
Let me also clarify, when I refer to the “success” of a blogger,
I am speaking in my own terms of what I consider success.
The invaluable connections I have made with some of the most intelligent and interesting women in my city is something I feel surpasses any monetary or material compensation I have received from blogging.

The thought of attending my first blogger meet-up gave me so much anxiety I almost
stayed home safely ensconced in my shabby flannel pajamas with a book and cup of tea.
Cut to a year later after dozens of events, two conferences and even hosting two gatherings,
I can safely say getting out and meeting everyone was the best thing I did for my blog.
There are several factors that may still prevent bloggers from attending besides nerves.
Location. You may not have a lot of bloggers where you live which limits IRL interactions.
Time / Money. A fair amount of planning and money goes into attending a lot of events, especially when travel is involved. Costs include new outfits/accessories (because you just can’t wear something people may have already seen on your blog), parking, blogger business cards and a great deal more.
For you all, there is a great starter solution.
Enter The Blog Workshop – an online blogger conference!
1. Money Honey: Not only is the registration fee reasonable ($150), the people behind this innovative concept even offer a payment plan for those that would prefer to be a bit more financially prudent.
2. Socially Responsible: 10% of all ticket sales are donated to Wellspring Living and the Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children. Money well spent.

3. Swag. Your first thoughts may have been “It’s online, there goes the swag bag.” It’s actually quite the opposite. Perhaps because of the costs saved by providing an online opportunity and not having to find a space/parking etc the gifts are even more luxe.
Subjekt headphones, Video Blogging equipment, LLC packages from Legal Zoom, E-commerce solutions from Cloudswipe. All crucial pieces especially if you are serious
in taking your blog to the next level.
4. Social. You will not miss out on the personal connections as prior to the conference a larger Twitter party is held in addition to a Google hangout as to provide time to network!
5. Content. The most important factor. With sessions on Preparing for Advertising & Pitching, Building Relationships with Media, Other Ways to Monetize Your Blog and more,
what you will learn during this conference will be endlessly worth the time and money spent.

Ticket sales for this conference ends May 10th
