Summer is basically here and we all feel our bodies need to be in pretty decent shape if
we have plans of hitting the beach or attempting a crop top.
There is something to be said having a younger version over yourself walking past you and giving
you almighty hang ups about your appearance (though you’re beautiful and you know it!)
It’s not always easy to whip ourselves back into fighting shape (hah) and at times it may not even seem worth it at the time (especially during an intense workout), but it always is in the end.
If you have tried every diet under the sun without success,
here are a few tips for to achieve your ideal beach body this summer.

Veg Out.
Try and avoid foods that are processed and contain preservatives, sticking with as
much raw produce and pure juices that you can.
Fruit and vegetables are the best choices as they are full of essential vitamins and minerals,
but even more-so as they are low in calories and fat.
Your body is like a machine, and it can only use the energy that it can break down. A lot of foods, unhealthy ones, are full of fats and protein just like these. Fruit and veg are full of supplements that the body can use and wants. So, the next time you are hungry and need a snack, reach for an apple or the carrot sticks.
Count The Calories, sort of.
The most basic way to get your Summer body is to burn off more calories than you are eating.
It is that simple. And to make it easier for you, almost everything
you eat has a breakdown of nutrients.
Get a pen and paper and count the calories you are eating to make sure they don’t go over your
recommended daily amount.
I have always found having to be held accountable for everything that goes into my body
(using an app like FitBit or FitDay) is the best way to slow my junk-food role.
Sip That Tea.
A lot of ~research~ suggests that drinking tea can aid weight loss and a healthy body.
Want an explanation? Well, teas such as Herbal Rose Hip & Hibiscus Tea contain compounds that are said to stop your body from absorbing fat.
Claimed by some as the Holy Grail as far as weight loss is concerned.
In case you are wondering, the compound is called theaflavin. But, you shouldn’t drink your tea
with milk or cream because dairy has an antioxidant that negates theaflavin.
Stay high. In Fiber.
Do you wonder why food adverts are full of the tagline ‘it is high in fiber’?
It is because eating plenty of fibres is a great way of making you feel a lot fuller.
Eating a lot of fiber, therefore, means you will stop raiding the fridge looking for snacks
that have a plethora of empty calories.
A great tip is to eat a high fibre lunch. Lunches like a bowl of chilli and a wholemeal pitta bread should easily see you until the dinner without snacking!
Cardio. Cardio. Cardio (and don’t be afraid of weights!)
We can eat healthily, but still have to train our bodies as well to tone it up for the beach.
Burning off calories is essential for the perfect summer body,
so get to the gym and pound the cardio machines.
If you want to lose weight, then do low-intensity cardio for long periods.
At the end of the day, see how your body reacts to different things, consult with a doctor before
beginning a new workout regimen and do what’s best for you!
