Life has been blissful. I have love, devoted friends and my amazing new career that I seem to be excelling at more so than I expected.
My second week at my new job I received an invitation to attend my first business trip across the country, all expenses paid of course. That only pushes me to work harder, arrive earlier, stay at the office later.
Things with my future husband are more amazing than ever. I never thought it would be possible to find someone who gets me so easily, with whom things are just so effortless, carefree, loving and fun. How lucky am I? P gave me my first taste of $160 wine, it was delicious, aromatic and just.divine. He admitted my somewhat thrifty ways are rubbing off on him and he actually felt a bit guilty buying just one bottle when he normally wouldn’t hesitate to grab several that are a great deal more expensive.
My best friend and I did some bridesmaid dress browsing today. The first dress she picked up just may be the one we choose. I say we because my girls are going to have a lot of say in this decision (all of them loved it except for one who prefers bolder colors that aren’t really my style).
My friends are wonderful blank canvases, toned bodies, gorgeous faces and extremely well kept hair. This is really not going to be any sort of challenge.
The trip to the bridal boutique got us thinking about all we have to plan, nails, shoes, how they’re do their hair?
I have my photographer, potentially my second shooter, our first dance song, two possible reception locations, my hometown church/priest to do the ceremony, a stylist I love and trust and talented nail technician. I’m not going to let the details get the best of me nor have silly arguments whether cream or egg shell is the better option.
I am so excited for this trip, the next two weeks of preparation will be quite strenuous but nothing worth achieving is easily done. A great deal of shopping is essential before landing in CA, most likely a gorgeous new carry-on too!? More soon, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
