When I purchased this print weeks ago, I had no idea the significance it would soon have.
Yesterday was a nightmare for not just Boston, for everyone.
As always our first thoughts and prayers goes to all those affected and then to
all of the wonderful first responders who quickly came to everyones aid.
The outpouring of support that came via social networks from everywhere was amazing.
Every one of my new friends in Texas texted or tweeted me to see if I was okay.
Every time I think about how much support everyone showed I tear up.
New York.
I live in a city where people finish a marathon and somehow find the strength to run to a nearby hospital to hopefully give life to someone they do not know.
I live in a city where instantaneously apartments and homes are opened to all those in need
while waiting to get home. Blankets, water, food rushed out to runners.
I live in a city that handles itself with grace and dignity in times of crises.
Most people tell me they always wonder why Bostonians are so quick to let others know where they are from. This is why we’re so damn proud.
Boston is a proud, strong city. I could not be more proud to call it my home.
I know some of my friends will want to know where I got this print.
It’s from Oh Buoy Boston, a great shop run by two sweet girls.
I love you all.

April 16, 2013Truth: The minute I heard about the bombing I thought of you, and went on Twitter to send you a message…but then I saw that you were Tweeting, and were okay.
My prayers are with everyone in Boston. I just hope they can find who did this. 🙁

April 23, 2013It really was! There is still so much to do for all those still recovering and mourning and I know everyone is so touched by the support everyone throughout the US (and world) has shown Boston. It will definitely never be forgotten.

April 16, 2013I bought a print very similar to that for my husbands office. It's the state and has the heart over the city he was born in.
Glad to hear you are safe and sound love!

April 17, 2013Love this post. We are fortunate to live, work, and play in this city. We are proud of our sports, our culture, our accents and our lifestyle ;). It was amazing seeing just two days after this tragedy, families bringing their children into the city, just like every other school vacation, to partake in the museums and activities. It truly shows that we will not live in fear, you can momentarily startle but you cannot scare this town.
