Every woman wants to find that secret that will keep her eternally youthful. I know I do.
But I also know that’s impossible, and I’m going to get older no matter what I do.
Just because I can’t avoid aging, it doesn’t mean I can’t do it gracefully though.
Anti-aging techniques won’t stop me getting older.
But they can help me remain looking fabulous as I do it.
And most of the things that will keep me looking youthful (or at least not older than my current age) come easily.
Living a healthy lifestyle is the best way to make sure I age with grace.
Of course, style is a part of it too.
Dressing in the best way to compliment my style as it naturally evolves is important.
It’s best not to seem like you’re trying (and failing) to look 20 to 40 years younger.
I’m certainly not old yet, but I have a list of things to make my journey to old age easier. So here are some of my secrets for looking and feeling fantastic as you get older.
Limit sun exposure. Many people love spending time in the sun, either tanning or just enjoying its warmth. But a lot of them don’t realize the damage this can do to your skin.
The effects that the sun’s rays have on your skin can cause you to age faster. Some skin types might handle the sun better.
Even so, everyone is at risk of premature aging because of its effects.
I regularly use products with an SPF factor, even on days when it’s not particularly sunny.
The sun can affect you even on days when it’s cloudy and overcast.
You can buy face creams, hand lotions and lip balms that will protect you from the sun.
Even if you don’t use these products on a daily basis, you should be sure to use sunscreen when
it’s hot and sunny. It’s crucial to use it if you’re out in the sun for extended periods.
Even though many of us like tanning, it’s best to avoid it as much as you can. As well as using products with UV protection, you should also cover up and try to stay in the shade.
Find a solid beauty routine. Finding a great product that works to combat wrinkles is so hard. How are you meant to know which ones work?
If you used an anti-aging cream for 20 years, you would have no idea whether it helped you.
You might look exactly the same as you would have without using it.
You can find a cream to use every day in the hopes that you can defy aging.
But a better idea is to find one designed to combat wrinkles that you already have.
Lines and fine wrinkles start appearing earlier than you might think.
But there are products that are great for smoothing them out.
For example, Gaba wrinkle cream is designed to tighten your skin to smooth out lines around your mouth, eyes and brow. Many of these products use ingredients like Synake, which is a synthetic compound that mimics snake venom.
You might have seen people using products containing bee venom too.
The idea is to tighten up your skin a little, without using surgery or cosmetic injections.
Avoid smoke and mirrors. If there’s one bad habit that age your skin and hair faster than you want it to, it’s smoking.
The chemicals in cigarettes can stop your skin getting all the nutrients it needs.
It could make your skin sag and your hair feel brittle.
If you do smoke, you should stop right away. The sooner you quit, the faster you can reverse the effects it has had and prevent any more.
You could improve your blood flow, which will help your skin get all the nutrients it needs.
And it will retain its elasticity better.
Stay active. Aging gracefully isn’t just about looking good, but about feeling great too.
One of the best things you can do for yourself is to remain active.
If you live an active lifestyle when you’re younger, you’re more likely to be able to keep it up when you reach old age. Being fit and healthy can reduce your risk of lots of health conditions.
And it can help to keep you toned and looking fantastic.
You have to pay attention to more than just your face.
Even if you end up pretty wrinkly, you’ll look fabulous if you have the body of someone half your age.
Choose A Timeless Hair style/cut. Women can worry a lot about their hair
when they start to get older. But there are lots of rules that you don’t have to follow.
Everyone used to insist that older women should cut their hair short and dye out the gray.
However, things have changed now, and you don’t have to play hard and fast with these rules.
The important thing is to choose the best hairstyle to suit you. Some women may look better with shorter hair. But many others will still look fantastic with longer hair.
And if younger women can make dying your hair gray trendy,
then surely having naturally gray hair is even better?
Stay authentically stylish. Dressing for your age is difficult when your looks start to change. Your sense of style and preferences probably won’t alter significantly just because you’re older.
But most women can’t get away with dressing like a teenager. One of the important things to keep in mind is to try not to be too extreme or eccentric.
You don’t have to be boring, but most of the time fur coats and fishnet stockings are not going to look great. On the other hand, you don’t want to start putting comfort over style all the time.
You can have both by dressing young, but not too young.
You might not want to get old, but it’s going to happen. You might as well make peace with it, and aim to stay stylish and beautiful while your transformation takes place.
