I love to spend my weekends spent reinventing my look and trying new things.
There’s nothing better than finding a whole new style for a night out!
Again, that’s Saturday and Sunday when I have unlimited time to try new ideas and get creative.
I can try out a new makeup product or cycle through eight different dresses before choosing the perfect one. I have time to put my hair into different styles and rock a look I’ve never done before.
During the week it really is a whole different story. Everyones weekdays are hectic,
and my mornings are always rushed prior to an MBTA filled commute (joy.)
I’m attempting to finish my first novel, blogging, marketing my blog, managing digital strategy
for several brands and attempting to maintain some semblance of a social life.
That doesn’t always leave time to reinvent myself every morning.
So a series of lazy girl beauty hacks is a must.
I still like to make an impression when I leave the house, so I know these secrets work.
At the end of the post, I’d love to hear from each of you. Share your lazy-girl beauty secrets!
But first, a complete list of my most effective beauty tricks that require almost zero effort. Shall we dive in?

Get plenty of beauty sleep. What could be lazier than getting a full night’s sleep?
Going to bed early, and packing in those Zzzs is a wonderful way to stay healthy and lock in your youthful beauty. I don’t know about you, but when I wake up after a bad night’s sleep, I look terrible.
My eyes are dark and puffy, they look bloodshot and I swear my skin is drier and utterly lifeless.
It takes a lot of work (and La Mer) to get ready when you feel like that!
But when I get a good eight hours, I wake up feeling invigorated and full of life.
My eyes look bright, and my skin glows. It’s the easiest, laziest beauty hack out there.
Just turn off that Netflix and go to sleep!

Keep the makeup remover next to the bed. How many times have you fallen asleep with your makeup on? Be honest! Some girls rarely take their makeup off each night. They fall asleep with it on, and just top it up in the morning.
While we have all committed some cardinal beauty sin at some point,
leaving your makeup on at night is one of the worst things you can to for your skin.
Sure that extra step before sliding into your clean sheets may seem like a pain, but leaving it on irritates your skin. It dries it out and ruins your natural glow. So start putting your favorite makeup remover next to your bed.
Never again will you have an excuse not to take off your makeup even on your laziest, wildest of nights, and you can do it while watching still enjoying Orange Is The New Black!
Buy the same fantastic clothes. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll shop as hard and fast as the next girl. But, you know how it is. You’re a size four in one shop, but a size two in another.
You’re a six on the bottom, but an extra small on the top. Why do you do this to us, fashion world?
It’s a nightmare. So, when I find the perfect fit, I stock up.
I have three pairs of my favorite jeans, because I know that they always look good (and I’m clumsy.)
It’s the laziest way to style yourself when you’re in a rush.
It’s also a trick that is linked to success!
No need to experiment or mix and match. Just choose what works.

Keep your hair in a looped bun overnight. The longest part of my morning routine is always
my hair. It takes forever to get it just right. It doesn’t help when you wake up and your entire
crown is flat and lifeless (hello me everyday save the day following a blowout.)
So much for those eight hours of ‘beauty sleep’, right? But, you can make it work for you. Instead of
leaving my hair down, I’ll put it up into a loose bun. It helps keep some of the volume in the morning.
Alternatively, you can try braiding it the night before.
Take it out in the morning, and you’ve got easy, natural curls.
Drink lots of water. I’m a firm believer in the healing power of water. It’s the most underrated beauty secret out there. In fact, most models swear by H2O, and at least a liter every day.
That may seem a bit excessive, but I certainly recommend upping your daily intake. I drink at least eight small glasses a day, which is the typical suggestion. It’s the laziest way to keep your skin looking amazing. What could be easier than adding a few more glasses of water to your diet?
Makeup hacks. I’m always on the hunt for new makeup tutorials and quick hacks. I’ve learned
some fantastic tricks over the years. Some of the best tricks include using a credit card to help curl
my eyelashes, draw perfect eyebrows and use some super-quick highlighting and contouring tricks that always work.
In fact, I could create an entire blog of makeup tricks.
Perhaps I will one day, but for now, check out some of these instead!
Laser hair removal. Who has time to shave every morning? No thanks. Many have gotten rid of that pain and suffering long ago. Switching to laser hair removal means continuously super smooth, pain-free legs.
While recurring visits to professionals, can be on the pricey side,
there are also at home options that remain fairly affordable.
Having said that, definitely check out this guide on beyondtalk.net
before attempting laser hair removal at home.

Overnight treatments. I’ve already shown you the virtues of a good night’s sleep. But, there are one or two tricks to help take advantage of those lazy eight hours.
Thankfully we are in the era of overnight masks/treatments. We used to nap with teabags over our eyes (mainly herbal teas are best here as they were most packed with antioxidants.)
Nowadays we opt for a simple face-mask designed to treat your specific skin concerns overnight.

September 9, 2015I believe makeup removal before sleep is the most important thing ever to do. I mean, who would want to sleep with a dirty face?
