I forgot to mention I saw Anna Karenina this past weekend and truly,
I have no words to describe the experience.
Lately, I have been so inspired with my writing, with everything actually.
I wish I could put my finger on the cause and bottle it, save it for a sluggish day.
This weekend I am on the hunt for a deep green, long coat. You know
the kind I’m talking about. Effortlessly casual with the ability to be dressed up.
lovely surprise, all of quality. A subdued red lip even.
And…brunch with Amber
It’s okay that I ate bacon yesterday and drank beer. My workouts have been
consistent and brutal. Waistline whittling.
It’s okay to be somewhat swept off your feet (only figuratively) by a handsome
Italian import who spends his time as a researcher wishing to give even the
smallest contribution to society. There are men like this out there?
It’s okay to feel like you took a tiny step backwards as long as it is rightfully
acknowledged and a giant leap forward follows.
It’s okay that I rotate only the three same pair of earrings each day though my
collection far exceeds those few favorites. I need a large jewelry organizer btw.
It’s okay that stylist #2 (I have one for one particular treatment and one for weekly
blowouts) cannot get me in until Tuesday. Really. It’s fine..
It’s okay to look for the beauty in everything. No explanation necessary.
Happy Thursday! We’re almost there π

December 13, 2012Anna Karenina was one of my favorite books growing up, I'm afraid to see the movie and see if they do it justice! I actually wore that "red lip" to work yesterday and I felt slightly trampish but I loved it =)

December 14, 2012I haven't been brave enough for a red lip. Every time I wear one I feel like I'm in a costume. I used to be an actress and wore red lips on stage quite a bit. π
That coat is gorgeous, hope you find one like it!
