We all have certain things we want to do and certain places we want to travel to.
Here are just a few places that may be on or places to add to your travel bucket list!
Visit the Grand Canyon
We’ve all seen endless photos and footage of the Grand Canyon, but imagine what it must be
like to actually stand there and see it in front of you with your own eyes.
It’s hard to imagine how incredible and breath-taking it must be.
The canyon was formed by the Colorado River 17 million years ago and is 277 miles long!
I plan to travel all over America by road at some point, and that’s when I’ll
fulfill my ambition of standing in front of the Grand Canyon.
I have heard that the very best way to experience the canyon is to get there
either as the sun is about to rise or about to set. So, that’s what I plan to do!
See the Northern Lights
There are some natural displays that can never be rivaled by anything made by man.
And the Northern Lights definitely fit that description.
It’s also known as the Aurora Borealis in the northern hemisphere.
Is looks like the kind of experience that will stick in your mind forever,
and that’s why many people have it high on their “to see” list.
I’d like to go hunting the Aurora in Finland, it’s one of the best places for seeing the Northern Lights.
But I’d like to take the trip with a group of experts, what would be worse – to go all that
way and then realize that I was unable to find them!?
That’s exactly the kind of thing that would happen to me if I tried to do it alone.
Trek Machu Picchu
Now, many of us are not much of hikers, but I love the idea of trekking the ancient Machu Picchu site in Peru. Yes, I know you can get up the quicker using other methods,
but let’s face it, that’s cheating, isn’t it?
If you want to do it properly, you have to work up a sweat and do the trek yourself!
If you don’t know what Machu Picchu is, it’s an ancient Inca city that was built in the 15th
century and remained untouched, lost in the Andes Mountains until 1911.
It’s like an untouched time capsule, and now we all have the
pleasure of being able to see it as it was 600 years ago.
Go Whale Watching
Perhaps I’m biased being a Boston lifestyle blogger who loves her New England excursions,
but whales and dolphins are incredible creatures, but if you ask me, they’re not the kind that should be kept in captivity.
That’s why the only way I want to see these animals is in their natural habitat.
Whale watching is a great (and guilt free) way of seeing an incredible animal the way they should be seen.
There are locations all over the world where you can see whales, but I’d like to go whale
watching in Sydney, Australia.
Then I’ll have the chance to explore Australia, a country I’ve never been to,
but desperately want to sometime soon.
Hopefully, it’s only a matter of time before you’re able to travel to some of these places
and see all of these beautiful sights. I’ll let you know all about it when I do!
Where have you always wanted to travel?
XOXO
