Traveling, is something that is close to almost everyone’s hearts. People wait with eagerness for that time of the year when they can finally go for that much awaited vacation with their families and loved ones.
To travel, for me is more than just a pastime. Traveling for me is more of a passion and there is nothing more inviting than the opportunity to see and experience new things and places (even when it’s business travel!)
Recently my close friend embarked on a trip to the highlands of UK. After a lot of research and discussion with other travel enthusiasts, she decided to get herself a bit more closer to nature by visiting Westonbirt.
For those of you that may plan to visit, it is said autumn is the best time to visit these highlands.
If you are a nature lover, who would love to spend their vacations in solitude, away from the fast paced city life, then Westonbirt is the perfect place for you. The easiest way to travel here is via the Chippenham Bus Station near Bath.
She was amazed seeing the diversity and history that surround Westonbirt and the variation of greenery it comes along with. Every tree has a memorable story to share that takes you back to the past.
Westonbirt, is a National Arboretum that is taken care of by the Forestry Commission. Westonbirt Arboretum is located near the historic market town of Tetbury in Gloucestershire, England.
The two main areas to explore in Westonbirt are The old Arboretum and Silk wood.
The Old Arboretum is designed carefully with a beautiful green panoramic landscape, stately avenues and an abundance of exotic tress from all across the world.
Silk Wood is a an entirely different experience. Although it also contains many rare plantings, at its heart is a traditional working woodland, dating back to the 13th century.
After a very long walk thorough the Silk wood forest, she finally reached her quaint yet gorgeous guesthouse. The ambiance was amazing and it was just before sunset.
There was no better way to relax, than with a cup of hot team, some online bingo (and a lot of reading!)
Yes, she and I are a bit addicted to the game especially since we started to play free bingo on GameVillage.
I have plenty of online bingo friends (yes I just said that) and catching up with them and sharing our experiences in during our travels is always rewarding.
Like they say, a day well spent brings happy sleep. So, to all the wanderlusts out there or those who are looking to take a break, bon voyage on your next adventure!
