Listening to… “Dancing on my Own” by Robyn, revived after I heard it on an episode of Girls.
Perusing… Etsy shop TwoYellowShoes by Laura Larson. I’ve kept it no secret regarding my excitement that the mister has made his martial intentions quite clear. Laura’s wedding was featured on Style Me Pretty not once, not twice, but through a five post series!
I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Laura and not only is she as pretty in person, but she’s also incredibly sweet (you’ll notice on the SMP postings she also took the time to reply to readers questions, every one of them.)
If you’re also going to be planning an upcoming nuptial or event for a little one, I would definitely visit her shop – her touches are creative, modern and wonderfully personal. She is very talented and I would contact her before she becomes too busy!
Loving… My new Shiseido cleanser “Perfect Whip” that I finally used last night. Whoa this stuff is amazing! And congrats to Alyx who won my summer beauty giveaway, I’ll be contacting you to get a mailing address shortly.
Coveting… (In the least sinful manner) – a pair of Karen Walker sunnies and capped toe flats (both as seen on Ms. Blair above). I guess we should throw the Tibi dress in as well (another gorgeous one on R29)…or just a shift in a scarf print.
Excited about… My new Birchbox that came in. There were so many goodies from sequined print Cynthia Rowley bandaids, Melvita rose water toner to a pore minimizing mask and the most delicious smelling Parisian fragrance!
Not able to… Let go of the chevron trend. I just love it – there’s no explanation. However, I do like the different takes I’ve seen of the print, for example this Asos shift.
Unexpectedly… Enamored by the androgynous lady oxfords I’ve been seeing. I love it, especially because it’s a bit of a reach and not something sure to be seen on every fashion blog. It takes a bit of guts to attempt to pull them off, I may purchase a mint pair.
