I have been the most productive little biddy lately and it feels so good to see so many projects truly progressing.
They say to continue to grow it is important to vary your methods. I have been following this wisdom in my writing and my workouts.
Before falling asleep last night I added a million things to my to-do list and thought about re-arranging my rather large bedroom, namely placing my desk on a different wall to change the feng shui of the room. Upon waking up I realized the current setup is quite ideal and any concerns I had were unfounded and silly.
One thing I have actually started using during my writing time is my large wooden desk instead of setting up at the living room table. I have also made sure that if it is possible, to let natural sunlight in at all times. Small changes make such a significant difference.
Regarding my workouts, instead of staying on the elliptical for however many minutes suits me, I have been alternating between elliptical (10 minutes), Helix (5 minutes – hey that thing is hard), ten minutes speed walking at the highest incline possible and the rest cycling.
I feel like I’m getting more out of my workout and have finally started using the notorious Power Plate, a machine used by NASA to help astronauts strength train at a faster rate than most of us plebeians. I also practice Pilates quite often on the Reformer.
More excitingly, I have been in contact with fantastic blogger Annabelle from 5th Belle Avenue (check out her posts she’s fantastic). She has inspired me to look into health/nutrition and wellness classes.
It is something I am giving serious thought as I feel higher education should never cease, ever. I am a strong believer in the thought that everything happens for a reason.
Having been diagnosed with a crippling auto-immune disorder five and a half years ago set me onto a healthier path for the rest of my life. Most decisions I make now are related to my health, how each meal will make me feel and what benefits I may reap from each “superfood.”
I would love to get a better grasp on controlling my disorder through my diet (the best I have ever felt was when I imparted on a vegan diet for two weeks) and share this knowledge with others within the chronic illness community. I cannot think of anything more fulfilling.
That’s all for now, my productivity calls, so much to get done! Have a wonderful rest of your day.
